Yes it's dead, they are just re-processing the data to keep the stats alive.

I'm running it to keep my P233 alive.

u wanna run either SOB or D2ol ototero, if a machine wont take these do ubero but its better to do new processing than re-process data thats only around to keep the stats alive.

Yes, I'm running both of those. I've just noticed that 1 machine at work is running Grid.

I'm trying to run SoB at work but I get firewall problems. Tha FAQs don't help

if it wont wk dont worry.
under config in SOB client try changing the port number you use. the standard is 1717 but i guess you could use any you wanted to. this is only an idea n it amy not wk tho, SOB may only accept data from that port to reduce virus risks.
Also if u edit ur firewall settings you could allow port 1717 "free" access as it were so SOB would definatley work. - this rather undermines the point of a firewall tho, lol. depending where u wk you may or maynot have access to this tho.
Anyway ill try that port thing here and report bk l8r

SOB faqs suggested port 21 and 80. I tried both.

i take it u realise 80 is the normal internet port, depending on ur virus protection/ firewalls etc this will almost definatley have protection and certain features disabled.

I always use the 1717 port..... It's the default, it works so why mess with it...??

Or as It normally works out...

If it ain't broke, mess with it somemore till it's broke, try to fix it, get pissed off for messing with something that wasn't broke, drink a beer, try fixing it again, say a bunch of curse words, drink more beer, try again, get pissed off again, uninstall windows, reformat the drive, install windows, drink more beer while windows is loading, replace all the .dll files windows seems to have forgotten to put on the cd, drink more beer, reinstall all the the programs over again, read the amdusers website, get and idea to mess with something, don't follow the instructions, and start the whole vicious cycle over again......

Why am I going to school for this torture???

I've got no probs at home 'cos I control the firewall, but at work I can't get connected using any port

Have you tried 8080? I had to use that in Eccp-2 when it was running.
Have you posted on the official SOB forum?

Ototero

Yes Vaughan,

8080 is common here at DHL, but it didn't work.

I guess I'll leave my office machines on D2OL and Grid
