The processer is $189 at NewEgg. But you get a copy of Windoze. No builtin wireless. Looks like it would make a good gift to someone in the family that you could borg. If they hammer it there are always the system restore disks that come with it. You have to guess that with a Gateway MB there won't be any overclocking. I guess just break it down into the price of the parts that you will get use out of (HD, CPU, MEM, Windows, and Opt Drive) and see if it's worth the headaches of a MB with shortcommings and all the Gateway crap it comes loaded with. I have a friend that I think it would be perfect for. He has no idea what goes on other than it works or it don't. Of course he's happy right now with a P4 1.6 Ghz.

Agree, if its for yourself, you'll prob be disappointed in comparison to what you run right now for the money spent.

Thanks Terry & Mitch, I had already pretty much figured it wouldn't be the best thing to buy in comparison to what I already have. I knew there would be no OC'ing and thats why I stay away from these sort of deals ... :icon_rolleyes:
