well done mitchellds for 200k, 300k and 400k

Thanks DD !

I'm on my way to 500k and swapping into 64 bit clients to try and increase my output (Poorboy's already discovered this secret :icon_mrgreen:)

:icon_lol: ... Yes, if your going to run ABC or several of the other Projects using a 64 Bit OS is the only way to go. I've known that for a long time and have had all my PC's converted to a 64-Bit OS but I still stayed with running Cosmos until recently.

Once I realized DD had taken over my 1'st place spot @ ABC I figured now was the time to give the 64 Bit OS's a try, they seemed to work just fine ... :icon_mrgreen:

lol from the looks of things you have stopped crunching abc for now i guess you think you have about around an 8 month buffer at this point in time at least till phenom 9900's come out lol

EDIT in regards to abc 64 bit you will get roughly 2.5 times claimed credits with 64 bit very little difference between windows xp_X64 and linux 64 bit i have only done one set of tests (one comp) in regards to linux vs windows and windows appeared to be just in front not by very much though if my memory serves me correctly i think it was about 0.46% in windows XP_X64 favor so for all agreements sake they are eqaul unless you are wishing to split hairs

ps i wasnt aware this was a secret in regards to increased performance re 64 bit vs 32 bit since these a fair few post about this at abc@home forums

I'm still running ABC but have cut it in 1\2 of what I was running for the moment. That plus for some reason my Pending Credits have been increasing quite a bit the last few days too have made my Actual Credits slow down a lot.

Theres probably not much talk about the 64 Bit OS @ the ABC Project because most people that run the Project know that fact. All you have to do is look at the Top PC's and see their all 64 Bit OS PC's should give you a clue to run 64 Bit ... :)

well its only a 64 bit plus if the application takes advantage of it. ABC seems to be one of the few that shows a big points awarded difference. Has anyone else noticed other similar projects?

The PrimeGrid Project running the CGW Sieve Wu's & the APS Project both show similar Credit returns running a 64 Bit OS, I've ran them both with a 64 Bit OS & the Credits were very good.

To me the ABC Project is the best to run though if your after the Credits because of the Bonus Credits they give for the longer Wu,s. I've seen as much as 1000 Credits for only a 5 to 5 1\2 hour WU on my Quads ... :)

I think there are several Projects with a 64 Bit Linux Application with Simap being 1 of them but I'm not exactly sure about that as I don't keep up with the Linux stuff very much.
