Wieferich@Home Stats (http://stats3.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=proj&proj=wie)

Country Ranks work here too just like the Boinc projects..

looks good, just wondering what will happen with milestones, will it be the same as for other boinc projects ?

Bok

Sort of,

I'll need to define the milestones first as it doesn't look like a high scoring project..

Care to define them? And I'll add to the database..

I say:

50
100
250
500
750
1000
1500
2000

maybe every 500 pints after that?? Is that too much??

There are even less points than with Pi Segment due to the longer wu's. How about 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1,000, 2,500, 5,000, 10,000, 25,000, 50,000, 100,000. I don't see to many hitting anywhere near 100,000 anytime in the next year.

They look good Bok, thanks for the effort.

so are these going to be added to the stats.free-dc.org site or just the stats3.free-dc.org?

gatekeeper53

Thanks Bok. 25 seems small but that is a weeks processing with a single core for some.

I don't think I'll back port them.. I really hope to make these ones live (i.e. move them to stats.free-dc.org) within the next week or two..

bok, i am a bit worried that i am still getting points in this project since i do not i have any clients running or is this just a syncing problem to be expected also if you go to users stats for project everyone was "Created on:Wed, 31 Dec 1969 18:00:00 CST"

Bok
02-23-2008, 01:02 PM
Your points, I can't control, I just display what is on the Wieferich pages and that shows you at 282 as of today. I guess it could be a delayed update on the part of the project, but I'm afraid I don't really know much about it..

As for create date, yes, Wed, 31 Dec 1969 is 0 in epoch time. (and 1 day after I was born :p ) Create date is really a boinc function in my stats, it's just not if'd out in the php pages..Because Wieferich does provide a join date, I COULD probably do some transformation of it into an epoch date and then it would display correctly (and I could sort on create date, like I do in the boinc projects).. on the to do list..

Danish Dynamite

bok i don't think milestones under 500 points are working also todays breakdown top 10 for team 2 of us had 2 points everyone else had zero points for today but pie chart was showing everyone at 10%

Bok
02-26-2008, 12:08 PM
I think you probably looked just after the daily rollover occurred, when no-one has any stats for 'today' - server is in Central Time US, at that point mysql would almost arbitrarily pick 10 users and give them 10% each.

The logs certainly show it searching for milestones under 500, remember it won't go back in time to look for these milestones, they are only going forward as it finds them..

Bok

*EDIT* In fact this (http://stats3.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=milestones&proj=wie) page shows that the milestones are working, I think it's just that AMD Users are all past the lower milestones now :). Page needs some better formatting though..

Danish Dynamite
02-26-2008, 01:08 PM
yes it was after midnight, terry and myself both had 2 points though, i will see if i can get a screen shot of it later today

i passed 400 milestone yesterday and 300 milestone the day before that yet i do not show up, other people on the page you linked (http://stats3.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=milestones&proj=wie) show for both 300 and 400 milestones, got wondering if the number of characters in my user name might have something to do with it ?

Bok,
You need to run a wu or 2 just to get that nasty 0 off your main stats page. lol

Is wieferich@home gonna be added to the stats sigs?? I see it on the new one, but it looks a little weird...

Keep watching my Blog (http://www.free-dc.org/forum/blog.php?u=1345) :)

Doing some maintenance on the table right now. Adding ranking columns for RAC, plus 4 or 5 indexes to each table as well as a bunch of other stuff. Taking some time when we are talking about millions of rows though.. Hopefully it'll be smooth and I'll switch them back on soon. (this is just the boinc ones, well and Sob too as that fits the same framework)..

Bok-

Not that you don't already have enough on your plate... I have another question... When will wieferich@home be added to the DCR stats??

Bok
02-28-2008, 11:49 AM
It won't I'm afraid in the current ones. It's already in the new ones as it goes there automatically when I add a new project, BUT I'm having serious thoughts as to continuing these until I can work out a better way of scoring.

So any ideas anyone has would be welcomed.

Beerknurd

What is wrong with the current scoring system that is in place? The only thing I don't understand is why your score can go down... I have noticed that if you don't run a project for a while, you start to lose points. Some projects seem to give you alot of points at first but then once you hit a certain point total they dramatically change. Maybe these question are elementary, as know nothing about actually pulling stats, organizing them, and displaying them as you do. You are doing one hell of a job. We all appreciate it alot!! You, our very own Ototero, and all the other stats people around the DC world deserve a big round of applause...

It's because the scoring system is based on your points AND the score of everyone else involved, so it can fluctuate if someone else joins or increases their score.. :)

seemed fair at the time, but I just don't know..

thanks lagu
yeah i know what you mean with points/ranks i have over taken you twice now

phenom 9600 @2.3 ghz crunches these work units in about the same time or alittle slower that A64 x2 5200 @2.6 ghz does

Edit points have changed for ct work units from 16 to 11 point and for pt work units have gone from 24 to 26 points (assuming you have upto date client)

Lagu

ya, was nice for awhile, but my other projects are calling to me. I may leave a few cores on it, but haven't decided yet.

vaughan

I don't understand why this project is being shunned by the DC community. It has a nice clean application and supports multi-core CPUs; its just not BOINC I guess. Its way easier to setup and run than many of the non-BOINC math projects - LLR for instance.

Any news whether it is in the DC-Vault yet?
