I'm not to familliar with this crunching, been doing it for just a few nonths, but I just found a new project call MindModeling@Home, anyone have any ideas or comments about it?

Their site is at http://MindModeling.org/beta/ and is a boinc project!

Hope we can work on it, I'm trying it, read about some snafus it had, but seems to be ok, now.

I moved this post to a new thread. It was in the AMD Users City thread...

Jumped on board for the ride. Noticed this though:

13/03/2008 16:11:57|MindModeling@Beta|You used the wrong URL for this project
13/03/2008 16:11:57|MindModeling@Beta|The correct URL is http://MindModeling.org/beta/
13/03/2008 16:11:57|MindModeling@Beta|Using the wrong URL can cause problems in some cases.
13/03/2008 16:11:57|MindModeling@Beta|When convenient, detach this project, then reattach to http://MindModeling.org/beta/

However, that's the URL I used! Anyone else seeing that message?

That happens when you copy & paste the URL from the browser address bar. It is in lowercase letters in the address bar but the project server is setup to use uppercase M's, so you receive that message. It won't affect your ability to receive/send work. It will just post that annoying message every time. To get rid of it, just detach/reattach using uppercase M's in the URL.

My machine likes these units, estimated time on download was 55mins, finished 2 on my dually in just over 15mins.

Cheers Bob, I'll just ignore it then :icon_mrgreen:

So far I haven't been able to get this Project to run at all on my Quads. I've tried a 32 & 64 Bit BOINC Client to no avail ob several different PC's with the same result.

The BOINC Client starts up and the WU's say their running but when I check the Task manager there's no activity at all for the CPU & there's no time advance for the WU's ... :icon_rolleyes:

That's strange. I haven't had any problems with my computers. The only "issue" is that the workunits run so quickly that the BOINC Mgr downloads a ton of them. They used to be due in 2 days, but the admins increased it to five to help those of us that crunch multiple projects. MindModeling and Artificial Intelligence (AIS) are right up my alley if it wasn't obvious by my handle.:icon_wink:

Bring on the robot overlords!

According to Jack Harris over @ the Project the WU Application doesn't work yet with 64 Bit OS's so I'll have to wait until it does I guess.
