Welcome to Mike Stafford who brought his LHC@home entry under our AMD Users banner.

You might have seen him join us on ther DC projects.

BTW, LHC is in beta and restricted to 1000 users. So we can't all join and help Mike out

Great to have you on board :wav:

Finally managed to join this project. Hope to post some stat(s) soon. :!:

Thanks Mike for posting a message on the LHC@Home forums & getting account creation working again.

Actually, It's only 1 computer... My Gateway hasn't finished one yet... It's been going for over 10 hors now. It's at 80%. My dell is the only one doing any production right now. I guess P4's do pretty good at LHC or any Boinc based project. I just wish my signature would work.......

Mine started awhile ago, but it paused 20min afterwards to finish a SETI@Home WU. Gonna take over 10 hours too. :?

I also want my sig to work

Thx vaughan. But my third stats dosesn't want to be changed for some reason. I want it like [*img]http://boinc.mundayweb.com/lhc/stats.php/userID:69/.png[*/img] w/o *. But it keeps reverting back to [img]http://boinc.mundayweb.com/lhc/stats.php/userID:69. :-(

folks, I think that there's more to this than meets the eye...

there are still host sites out there getting hacked.

Someone just trashed the Seti classic home page:
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/
they've garbaged the html with a cross of http://www.ranardo.de

I've also joined. 1 machine is running.

First part is 100% 2nd is 29% then I'll have some stats on the board.

But I'm staying with SoB until we get 16th.

I think LHC is having some problems. I have completed at leadt 4 stats that aren't showing up in my stats. They aren't even in my pending credit.... It's Predictor all over again... I figured maybe this project would run better. But I guess it's the Boinc system.

maybe its worth just running that a little then, run SOB sometime and that just as a "tester", when its working fine if u want to fully swap i have no probs but it seems a waste of gd CPU time

Two of the WU's I ran that showed up as over 70 points of claimed credit, I was granted 0 credit on. That's a real pisser. Those WU's worth 70 points + took over 7 hours to complete.

maybe its similar to predictor.

it sends out say the workunit 3 times and gets all the results back and compared them.
if the first two back are the same when scanned the one of the two computers which claimed less credit is assigned to both.
pending credit is what your computer claims but this amount is seldom given unless you claim little.
anyway if one fails or is done really quick etc then 0.0001 creadit or something may be claimed, when rounded this is too low to credit - im not sure what the exact amounts are as i dont use LHN and cant sign up now :(.

hope that explains

I missed the chance to sign up also.

Everthing seems to be catching up now.... All my credits posted during the day today.... All the work I seem to be getting now only takes me 45 minutes to process. But I only get 5 to 8 points for it.... I guess it all adds up in the end.

In LHC after the beta test is over do your credits start over????

The stats are really strange.

They are not sorted in any order

I know... I found that really weird too.....
