I ordered myself a new CPU cooler from ebuyer a couple of days ago, and it arrived today. It's a Scythe Mine, link http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/cpu/025/scmn1100.html

Pre-upgrade with stock stats:

Ambient 22°C
0% Load
~1200rpm, 38°C
100% Load
~1980rpm, 52°

Post-upgrade:

Ambient 23°C
0% CPU http://spikey-richie.co.uk/temp/zero_cpu.jpg

100% CPU http://spikey-richie.co.uk/temp/full_cpu.jpg

This thing is HUGE though. Install pics to come once I find my 'phone USB lead.

I would be curious as to how much it weighs? Looks like a beast ! :icon_mrgreen:

I should have weighed it. My bad. It's actually NOT that much heavier than stock, but you need a wide case.

Nice temps. those heatsinks are hell heavy, noticed that with my ultra 120 extremes and the bigtyphoon vx

problem is, with those fans, you wouldnt be able to hear my thx speakersystem running full tilt anymore :icon_lol:

the scythes I have here (60 something cfm) are not quiet, but they're at least beareable

I put one of these critters on my Q6600, running 3.2 with core temp readings ranging from 43C to 48C
