Sad to say; but since 2006 Intel hasn't needed to cheat. The Phenom isn't all that phenominal and I don't see anything in the AMD pipeline that will compete with the superior technology that Intel is putting forth.

That said; without an AMD nipping at their heels, and us users of AMD technology supporting them, Intel wouldn't be advancing the technology as rapidly as they are.
