News: Nov 12, 2008 Project will soon close down
Due to a lack of time and resources, we have to close down 3x+1@home soon. On Friday, 14th November, we'll stop generating new work units but results can still be returned for a long time. Of course the project page will stay on-line for everyone to view or download (available soon) the project results. Thanks to everyone who has participated in this project!

Ladies and Gentlemen get the work units while you can, once Friday comes around there will be no more to garner from the server! ! ! :blob3: :blob3: :blob3:

It was actually an unintended dump. What happened was my router decided to go 'no-net' during the night and I slept in on Sunday morning. When I surfaced Lisa said "B%$#&y fix the internet will ya :icon_twisted: "

Liuqyn I suspended network activity so now I will have a 9800 point splash sometime by late Thursday or Friday morning. I too have the same problem of not getting the machine to update on its own, they are possessed or something, pretty spooky!

Some boxes have finsished so they are on optimized Milkyway. Several quads have a few pages in the message tab of tasks cached. How do you count them, I mean is there a quick way or just count 'em as you scroll thru the pages.

I use boincview beta 1.5, it controls all my comps and say shows how many wu's and estimated buffer time, among other things. the program is over a year old and no longer being developed but it still works fine.

It looks like there are the occasional tasks to download, hence the trickle of points each day now. However, I'm out of Peak (noon to midnight) d/l allowance so I have to turn off my modem and switch to dial-up on my laptop during peak until the new month.

I just posted my 1st 100K milestone.
I only anticipated finishing around 85K so this is a real bonus.

With that extra digit in my totals, all my 10K results look so small.
Something tells me I have a loooong road ahead if I want to fix that. Ha Ha.
