I've never seen so many WUs waiting on BURP... over 100,000! They must really be having fun with those 3D animations. :)
Crunch times can vary from minutes to hours depending on the frame you get to render.
Anyone wanna grab a few? :icon_wink:

Oh my, that's a lot!
For it, it was almost always hard to get one. Looks like I'll be putting a core or 2 on it. Still wanting to find more primes. Seems really difficult these days.

I would love to join in the fun, but they won't allow new accounts!

They still have the silly limit of two tasks per CPU core per day; its about 2-3 hours work a day so you need a backup project or two. :icon_wink:

I think it's just 2 per core at a time, so when you finish one you get one more.

Oh that's much better then.
I'm concentrating on NPLB to see if I can catch Brucifer. :hello:
(Where's the poking a stick emoticon when I need it!)

what's this "Spendable Credit" i see on my BURP profile??

Burp is the kind of project where you can submit your own animations for rendering. :)
Depending on how complex your animation is and how many frames it got, they calculate a minimum "credit" you have to have to be able to submit it. That's the spendable credit.

speaking of projects, i wonder what ever became of that professional-ish (looking) project that BURP did backgrounds or elements for...

Me too! I am finally getting near my 50K goal for BURP! I have been around 45K for months and months, finally they released some workunits! :)

Yes lots of work is good.
The crunchers get bored chewing on the same old bits and bytes. :)

i'm glad i can take a break from the snail's-pace-of-progress of cancer crunching to contribute to art and get it in my top 5, maybe even top 4, even 3 of projects.

Yay! B.U.R.P. has work ready for us to crunch.
Warning - initial download is a weighty 150.31MB

Wow... 150Mb?
I don't think I ever saw a project with such a large initial download! :icon_eek:
And probably many people are trying to get it, I bet their net connection must be crawling by now... making it even more impossible to get it.
