We are working on GPU support for GROMACS. We are paying a contractor to implement some changes. This is going to cost us $500 total. I'm planning to contribute $200 out of my pocket and hopeing to get some donations. We will submit these customizations to for BOINC integration to the OpenMM project. Isn't GROMACS already used by Folding@Home? Don't they run GROMACS on their gpu apps, or maybe they run others?

And on the other piece of news... I wish I had a card capable of the ATI Stream 2.1 :)

Yes they do but only as a binary client app.
It sounds like Jack is having it re-coded (from source) to integrate with BOINC - as in full integration, not just a wrapper.

Me too. I am getting left behind for want of an ATI GPU. We'll have to do something about it soon.
