I used to run it on and off but since I moved to the USA I had to stop. My net connection here is currently 1.5Mbps DSL line, and not so stable.
Me and the wife are looking into changing to 12Mbps soon, with that I would fire up Majestic-12 again. :)

So, expect to see me there hopefully soon. :)

I'd forgotten about it after my last Windows re-install. I only ever ran it from one PC. Might have a look again so thanks for the bump reminder.

I quit running this on AMDusers as no one else ran it for about a year or so. Moved to FreeDC and ran there for a while but now I can't seem to get work units any more. Updated the version and still can't get work, so I quit this project all together.

Hi Steve,
Our stats are rising everyday so someone must be running it!
I believe the user name is "moops".

I started MJ-12 back up again last night. Still can't get any work so I shut it back down. I updated to the newest version about 2 months ago in an attempt to get work units. Being highly neurotic I just figured it was something personal. :)

Terrific to see your post today, Chris.
A very hearty Welcome Back to you.

Thanks! Yes, I'm back. Unfortunately the world of virtualization (along with the financial slump) has decimated my cpu workforce, and I'm down to a few 8 to 16 core systems with a bunch of virtual machines. However I do have a little bandwidth, so I figured I'd fire MJ12 back up for us.

Hi Chris,

Classy stats signature! What is the bar on the side?

Reached my first billion on this. Hopefully it's pushing us up in the ranks!

Hi Evil-Dragon!

Long time no see! I'm not sure if you remember but I used to live just a few (thousand) miles south of you, in Portugal. Anyways, things tend to change in life and I am now married and living in the USA! :)
How have you been doing on that side of the ocean? Is the UK doing ok with the economic depression? I know Portugal is very very bad...

Thanks for keeping us alive on that project! :icon_wink: And I hope you are shooting for the second billion now. :)

btw... you have to update your signature... boincstats had a crash quite a while ago, and all IDs got scrambled... your Boinc Synergy image is showing good, but the BoincStats changed to some other individual.

Holy snapping duck crap!
You da man! That is awesome.
Apparently you CAN keep going at "ludicrous" speed.

This is out of topic, but just a quick question... Hey Dave, could we somehow import that image to our smileys list? :)

Thanks Dave! :icon_thumright: No need to rush it, just whenever you have some time to kill. I've seen that image several times and it does come in handy... like just in the situation above. :icon_lol:

Saw that some folks were running this again, so have moved back. MJ12 started working for me again after this last update.

I'm there. You will probably see me more in the last week of each month. I'm trying to spend the remaining of my 250Gb monthly bandwidth limit of my cable provider. :)

Hm... Getting work sometimes. When I do it's crawling away. But every time it tries to upload the results I get connectivity errors. Every now and then it successfully sends back buckets because they are old. Most of the time it's simply starving for work. Pingtest.net shows 0% packet loss, 14ms Ping & 1% jitter, so it shouldn't be my connection. I hate it when stuff doen't work right.

NeoGen

I think I'm getting enough buckets but I have noticed that on the dashboard my error percentage is high, seems like 1 out of every 3 or 4 webpages fails to crawl.
I let it go just thinking it might be trying to crawl dead websites, but now that you say that I might have to look and see if I'm having the same issue.

Steve Lux... i'm coming for you!!! Also 2 billion in the next few days. Whoohoo!
