I am just hours away of passing over vaughan and becoming Team #2 on Sierpinski Base 5 PRP! :icon_mrgreen:

Vaughan is about 40 points away and has not moved for 2 years... AMDave, our current Team #1 has also not moved in over 2 years, but to catch up with him and claim the Team #1 spot will take a few more weeks, as he is 3,000 points away from me.

Come on Vaughan and Dave, you are not going to just let me take over your spots that easily will you? :icon_razz:

I would if I could NeoGen but I'm maxed out on NPLB for the race and also PrimeGrid for my GPUs.

Now if only I could cool the computer room some more I could put in another power circuit and install some more 1090T hexcores.

Yep. Starting to warm up again in Oz.
Not able to cool the house down at all at the new location.
I have been running a 21 hour day on BOINC for about 3 weeks, but from this week I am now running a 19 hour day.
I'm using the client preferences to suspend at 11am until 4pm to avoid overheating everything in the hottest part of the day.
Keeping a close eye on the local hourly temps.
That suspend window is going to grow fast over the next few weeks.
Today was a nasty taste of things to come - it was very hot.
It seems I will get to the point soon this year where I can crunch nothing due to the heat.
Got broadband though ;)

Replace the quads with hex's first or your wife might make you into a front-page headline. LOL
Actually I think that might save you some power and cooling.
The 1055's are at a really good price-point at the moment.
I did want the 1090's but they were all out of stock - word is you had alread sucked the market dry :P - so I had to settle for a couple 1055's.

I will be back as soon as I finish a massive sieving range that I reserved.
I reserved a 10T range to sieve thinking it would take about a month, but it was much longer than that so, I'm now focusing almost all cores on it to try to get it finished as fast as possible.

What do you folks think about combining the Sierpinski and Riesel stats? Would it affect your contests? Would it affect your participation? The reason I ask, is that the rebuilt and refurbished website will have a PRPnet that will service both Sierpinski and Riesel. It will hand out the lowest n available for any k. This could mean that you would have results for both sides of the project. The only thing that I can think of is combining the stats. Another question I have is about LLRnet. Lars is worried that it will not survive the server upgrade. How would this affect you?

I would say maybe do something like stop these stats (but keep them available as archive) and start all teams and users from 0 on the new project, could make things interesting. hehe :)

About LLRNet... I don't know what to say... I'm a newbie at it so I don't really understand the complications that will arise from that, but as long as there is instructions on how to crunch for the project, and how to use the applications, I'll be crunching on it. :)

Dave... have you been watching lately? I might jump ahead of you on the next stats update. :icon_twisted:

Congrats on taking 1st place.

I have been pushing in many directions at once.
Let's see if I remember how to do this one...

Wow... you came in with all the heavy artillery Dave... I already lost my 1st place. :)

But I just got an email last night saying that I found a prime for the project!! :icon_mrgreen:

Well done!
Those emails are hard to come by.

I haven't crunched sr5 for so long.
They used to take a long time and the points were hard earned.
You can see by the number of candidates some of us had crunched in the past for similar points that you have now.
So I put my shoulder into it.
Not everything, but more than half.
Besides, you sieved so much in the last few months we'd better get some of it tested eh?
I wonder if we can do enough to rattle Team Germany before the May contests start on May 5th? :D
