View Full Version : Excellent weekend effort

Stu just updated the stats and....
WOW :!:

Another excellent effort by everyone over the weekend.

Id like to make a special mention to the team crunching Climate Prediction.
It looks like Y'all put an end to the 44 / 45 / 44 / 45 see-saw with a blistering climb into 43rd place.
WAY TO GO !

The SetiBOINC side made a masterly contribution raising the bar by 55 spots this weekend. I'll bet that took a few folks out there by surprise too.

After 2 months of pushing in other projects the team in TSC have clawed back 2 places into 18th in TSC. Another great effort considering the focus has been so hot elsewhere.

Seventeen or Bust might not look like much is happening rank-wise but we have some absolutley huge contributions there consolidating 15th place and making an incredible dent in the gap to 14th.

There's no lollygagging in D2OL either with over 10,000 candidates submitted in the last week !

If you haven't tried TinyKeyCounter or Marmot yet ... Get into it !
TKC counts your key presses (we are moving up steadily) and Marmot tracks your mouse milage. You'd be VERY surprised how fast it all adds up.
Give it a go ... even if its just for fun.

In Folding@Home, Seti@Home (classic), OGR-Phase II and RC5-72 the team are maintaining the drive upwards.

In FaD, Chessbrain, Ubero eOn and Zeta the stalwarts are holding ground. A tough effort since so many of them are pushing in other projects at the same time.

It is absolutely FANTASTIC to see sooooo much of my favourite colour in the stats today.

Welcome to the new members that jumped on board this week. It's great to have you in the team. Please take the time to introduce yourselves on the forum if you haven't already.

Cheers Mr Statsman.

While we're about it, I'd like to also note the efforts put in by spjeff and vaughan for keeping eHouse and Ototero for satisfying my obsession for statistics with loads of GREEN in them. :D

(Pssst - If I'm realy realy realy nice to them maybe they'll lend me a 64 for a week !? LOL)

But seriously guys. THANKS.

WELL DONE BEERKNURD !
Beer proved to us this week that the Forum post counter has more than 3 digits. Ototero advises us it will take him another 10 years to test out the next digit. Don't tempt the man ! You know he's going to get there before then !

good summary dave, guess you beat me to it today - usually i post some comment from the stats but you did a good round up.

i have tried marmot/ turtle for a few days but find it doesnt count my keys very often and if i open it after TKC is open then TKC doesnt count the keys pressed. any particualr reason for this ???
also turtle only seems to count keys when you are pressing them often and the face turns blue instead of yellow.

Turtle sucks... It makes my system unstable for some reason... I won't be running that one anymore. I'll stick to WhatPulse and TKC. Everyone needs to join WhatPulse.....

Does that include Einstien@home? There are 2 of us from the team here on it. And i would be willing to kick a contribution to upgrade your stats machine, we could start a pool.

Dave, I had a big surge 'cos of coding at work. Really helps the key strokes.

But you got me. This project is volatile (meaning we are all up and down fighting for places)

Lets see ig I can get 3rd back before monday ;)

BigDawg, send me the links for E@H, I'll put them in the stats. Can't have you left out

So how long do you have to wait for the e-mail? I signed up and agreed to the Beta test. Is that all that is required?

Beerknurd
11-13-2004, 04:27 PM
???????????? It is an annoying process. I'll just bombard them with emails.
