All my AMD's have Antec pwer supplies of 350 or 400 watts and I haven't ever had a problem. I swapped out one of my PIII motherboards the other day with an XP1900+ and within 4 hours the machine was off. I got testing things and found out that the power supply had a blown fuse. It was an Nspire 250 watt. From what I have read the XP 1900 with one HD and a CD-ROM should not have needed that big of a power supply.

Antec usually good. I have a new Antec Trupower 480 now. Hope it doesn't have problems. :)

Anyone have a crappy one I can replace with the Gateway's power supply??
If I can burn it up maybe it could be an AMD Christmas!!!!

I thought maybe I would secretly connect it to a car battery... That ought to fry it pretty good.....
