Is there way to make d2ol run faster? I am averaging about 24 minutes per candidate. I don't know how to install a better java for this, or, even which java to use.

Any help?

Minimise the GUI, monitor progress with Malor's DSpy. I don't know of any Java tweaks or variations that help.

thats right java has nothing to do with the actually computing I believe it's done in C++ all the java has to do with client is the eye candy.

And that eye candy wastes CPU cycles that are better spent crunching!
Hey BoostedIntegra - what are you running? Your daily output is impressive. :)

sometimes stats have problems it will get straightened out at some point but it will always be off some because it only uploads every 6 hrs. There is a way to change the upload frequency. I'm sure you could figure it out.

Yep Vaughan I work at Circuit City and I have anything with an internet connection running. Well I try but our wireless network goes down all the time and our policy is to shut the computers down each night so when I don't close its wasted time. Well I hope to catch you soon but probably not.

Anyone running this as a cli? Any speed difference?

no difference between file mode, cli, or lite java. I'm sure the gui would slow you down but not if it was minmized so not to have to draw graphics. I have tried all mode and like the lite java the best.
