i have a new laptop design that i think would be a big hit. it is a laptop with no battery, but instead it has a full hard drive and a full video card. i quess this is not really a laptop anymore. it would be like a micro PC but ever smaller. lets face it the 1/2 hour of battery that you get out of a 3.4ghz with a powerfull graphics card it not really worth it, and you still cant even compare to a desktop in preformace. so drop the battery and make a truely moble desktop that has not preformace restrictions. i would get one becasue my laptop is ALWAYS pluged in anyway.
what do you guys think? or am i jsut nuts?

If you never have a requirement for working off mains, then go for it.

I only use mine on battery about 1 hour per year

good idea, just a couple of suggestions tho, might consider a battery that would last at least a couple of minutes so you wouldnt have to shut it down and reboot if you wanted to move from the living room to the den. would give you time to get to another plug in. And you got to use the 17" widescreen display :) just my thoughts....
