What rate are we going to need to keep in this project, once we have the next rank, to stay in front while we fix up some of those that we lost in the last 3 months ?

yep, we could go up again aswell if we wanted to, TNT arnt that far away anymore. i think we should do some othe stuff first though.

one quick question : i borrowed the new Medal of Honour - Pacific Assult from a friend as he said it was really slow on his machine (AMD 3200+, 256m graphics, DDR400 512RAM ???)
i cant load it on mine, i put it in the CD drive and get nothing ?? If i right click and "explore" it gets a not responding error and closes so i have to reload explorer, any ideas ???
i have tried cleaning the disk and putting it in both of my drives.

Is it an original or a "backup copy"? :P
If it's a backup then the cd might not be good anymore... and maybe that's why your friend is finding the game very slow, and you might not even be able to read it. Usually when explorer hangs while reading a cd or a disk it's because it's having trouble reading it.

i can see your point, but the disk is brand new.
It has no scratches or anyhitng and has only been out for a short time. It is the official disk and we havent tried copying/cracking or anything.

Seeing as it is official i couldnt see why it wouldnt work and his machine is only 2 months old - and he has never used the internet on it yet so cant have a virus or anything.

i can leave this project running all day on a 2700+, its been going for the past days for 16 hours a day :), hopefully ill get enough money for a 64 bit processor to use the SSE2 version.

Andrew,

Have you tried to install it?

If it installs and runs I am sure you will find it much much faster

well i've decided to leave all but one comp on SOB for awhile until we have comfy lead. I agree we could reach TNT easily but one more rank in SOB isn't worth falling in other projects. *INTEL*

Excellent.
Love your work by the way.

thx boosted,

we can come back to SOB when we have achieved some other goals -

for the moment these being:

1). Try to get below 1,000 in ALL projects (These currently being Dnet ORG and RC5 72, Grid original and seti classic)

how close now and how do you know these things, is there another stats page that updates more often?

The page vaughan posts is Great.
(I forgot about that one this month - now in my bookmarks)

Or if you are an immediate feedback freak like myself...

Look at the "Work Done" row and "Overall" column in the "Numeric Statistics" table (the 1st table below the graphs) on the SoB stats page.

That figure is updated live.

Then look at the same figure on the page for the opposing Team or Member.

That way you have a live comparison.

Actually although it is the most live Team figure available sometimes you may have to refresh the page a couple of times to get the change. But the longest I have had to wait was about 5 minutes.

Thats where I got the 0.7 difference from, not the daily updated stats tables below it or the hourly feed.

Vaughan looking at your tag it is surprisingly good, the logo fitting exactly.

Its a shame the BOINC stats arn't as simple but have the bit down the right aswell and virtually cover the whole box.
