And we are in this month's Simap challenge, the SIMAP December 2011 Scramble (http://boincstats.com/bam/challengeChat.php?chid=166)

So far it's four of us: B Johansson (#77), Nflight (#87), bender10 (#91) and me (#102)

We been passed by Russia, but were with five now as Freddie has joined.

Still chasing a virtual herd of Russians, now with six of us as BobCat13 has joined as well.
I re-commisioned an Intel p4 Prescott just for this challenge (and then: begone forever, socket 478)

By now we've been overrun by the Polish National Team as well. A mighty effort by the Poles, who started at least a day later than most other teams.
All in all there are now some 358 users active, and the AMD ranks have grown to a healthy 9 persons and an unknown number of machines.
At this moment (3 december 2011, 01:30 CET) our team consists of:
B Johansson at #70
bender10 at # 85
Dirk Broer at #90
Nflight at #150
BobCat13 at #220
Hautlle at #254
Ken429H at #303
Freddie at #350
lazykiller at #353

Hi, running this on 9 cores. Sharing with wcg. Trying to run down wcg cache and crunch simap at the same time.

More and more members are joining in the challenge!
Biggest problem is to obtain enough WUs at the moment...

Jason1478963 has found the neutrino-drive and has overtaken Bender10 as leader for this challenge!
Meanwhile the Poles and Russians are battling it out against each other and have left us the Norwegians to overtake

I think we may have a chance at catching up to another team yet

Thanks to Jason's effort (at 40k points a day (http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=team&proj=sim&team=48)) we passed Norway, Poland and Russia today and now are at #6 position!
I take it he has set our sights now on University of Miami, which is not more than 20k points above us.
In the meantime I try my best to get back on the first page of the personal stats, I've dropped below 100! I have now 15 cores/threads dedicated to the project in order to get back into the 90ies.

Well just for insurance, I guess I'll have to throw 16 more cores on it, and warm them up for the WCG race coming up. :icon_wink:

Edit: And University of Miami also falls to our team. :icon_mrgreen:

Was it the extra 16 cores? Were they all PhenomIIX6s? (very well suited for BoincSimap, see WuProp results)
Fact is we've overtaken University of Miami, and we're on our way to yet another Polish team: Boinc@Poland, currently 4th. I wonder whether we're able to close the gap of some 60k in the 37 hours that is left.

If the validator would ever catch up, we would probably already have overtaken Boinc@Poland as we have almost 35,000 points pending. :eusa_wall: But then again, I'm certain every other team must be experiencing the same issue.
(Number of pending results: 1809.....Pending credit: 34,660.52)
Oh, sorry, it wasn't X6s, I added two dual socket Opteron 2356s ( 4 - Quad cores at 2.3Ghz) not the newest technology, but still get a lot of work done!
Dirk Broer
12-06-2011, 03:56 PM
Is that -Number of pending results: 1809.....Pending credit: 34,660.52- the total for the team, or just Jason/Ramjet?
If the latter is the case, I have still 145 pending, good for 2,892.61 points.
And the rest of the team will have the same, relatively to their scores.

Nine hours to go! The good news is that we're gaining about 1k per hour on the Boinc@Poland team, bad news is that they are 12k points above us.
Anybody a herd of PhenomIIx6 1100T 64-bit windows machines (http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/results/credit.py?fabricant=AMD&type=Phenom+II+X6&modele=1100T&tri=projet&sort=asc) without work?
(wink, wink, nudge, nudge?)
