Seeing that the average job on most of my machines takes between 24 and 33 hours, that's no problem.
Got already a list of pending results that is almost long enough to be spread over two pages.

I should be set as well with the cache of several days. Do we think this could be an update for the future GPU project? This is what I'm hoping it is for as it would be nice to have a chance at getting the WCG score near other math projects.

The WCG race is also running during this outage so lets hope the outage goes well. We are currently in 3rd place as a team and may be a hard spot to keep so if you have an extra core we may need it. http://boincstats.com/bam/challengeChat.php?chid=168

It would be nice to turn my HD 4770 at something with the goals of WCG. I bet it will score better than the HD 5770 they used in the benchmarks for the alpha/bèta testing, by virtue of it's double precision capability (at a mere 80 Watt TPD). If I win the lottery tomorrow I'll even throw a HD 6990 in...

We sure can hope they work well. I have some old 1950 pros I replaced with 4350s to consume less power as they have no projects for them anymore. I also have a few GPU that would love to crunch away at WCG. I hope we can hold 4th place to the end of the race. It looks like its going to be difficult

Looks like we have to vest our hopes into the Dutch State Lottery. If I win big, our problems are solved. Chances are that I might be hit by a meteor sooner than winning big though. And while the CPUs are glowing red-hot for WCG, the GPUs are smelling burnt because of PrimeGrid...Two challenges at the same time!

If anybody has any idle cores, we sure could use them to defend 4th place against Sicituradastra !! They are gaining on us, and with 3 1/2 days left in the race, I think they will roll over us before the end. :5obsessed:

HCC has the shortest runtimes, but WCG credits are pretty much based upon actual computing time, afaik

Last hour we suddenly had a very good result -the validator worked just for us?- and brought back the distance to Sicituradastra to 6k points!

Sicituradastra's backlog has been validated as well I guess, 20k back on them now

I guess somebody will have to build some 12 cores for next time.

12-cores are so 2011...32-cores is the future (http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/2080551/amd-demonstrates-core-bulldozer-server)
If you already have a 24-core Opteron 6100 series systeem, upgrading to 32-core is real easy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4v07kzah91A)
