Space Race - Yuri's Night
On 12 April, there are two things to celebrate. Firstly and humblest is the first year of distributed computing platform Constellation operation. With your voluntary help we achieved to process almost 50% of the first batch of workunits for the HyEnD hybrid rocket flight altitude optimization. And secondly it's the 51st anniversary of the first manned space flight achieved by Yuri Gagarin. To honor him there are Yuri's Night events (http://yurisnight.net/partylist/) worldwide and there is even one in your area for sure. But when you will attend one of those great parties, you could also attend this virtual Yuri's Night event and let your computer crunch for science and get some credits for our Yuri's Night team while you are partying hard. Combined, we want to achieve at least 169.000 credits and hopefully 315.000 credits. Both numbers correspond to the orbital parameters of the apogee at 315 km and of perigee at 169 km of his record breaking flight (In case we will generate more, I will just convert it to feet ;)) You can do that by following the instructions below "Join Constellation" to install the little software called BOINC and attach it to the project you like (hopefully Constellation is one of it ;)) and by joining our YuriĆ¢
