New SNFS record!
2,1061- has been factored (http://escatter11.fullerton.edu/nfs/forum_thread.php?id=364) into 143-digit and 177-digit prime numbers. This is a new record for the largest ever SNFS factorization, and is a new Cunningham champion in three categories!

Reading the published paper on this Mersenne number reveals some significant details: http://physics.fullerton.edu/gchilders/M1061.pdf
"The total computational effort expended on sieving was approximately 3 CPU-centuries and yielded 671, 385, 523 unique relations."
Kudos to the thousand or so DC volunteers as mentioned in the paper.
