Good news: The Tahiti gpu chip -until now used in the HD 79xx lineup-, with it's better DP performance comes available in the HD 78xx range (http://www.guru3d.com/news_story/amd_radeon_hd_7890_tahiti_le.html).http://www.guru3d.com/news_teaserimage/558
according to SemiAccurate these are the specs of the various HD 7xxx cards:

Only thing lacking is the wattage needed to feed it.
BTW: the also-new HD 7790 might be a more interesting card budgetwise for us, crunchers.
