i dont know if this is entirely true but its good anyway:
Bumbling thief caught on camera by the computer he was trying to steal.
We like this story.
Serial burglar Benjamin Park broke into the home of software engineer Duncan Grisby and began to loot the place. When he came across Mr. Grisby's computer he was surprised to hear it making noises but decided not to worry about it and took the whole thing. However Mr.Grisby had been a victim of burglary before and using his silky computer skills had set up his webcam to record automatically if it sensed motion. Obviously this wouldn't really help if the person that set it off then half-inched the hard drive, but Mr. Grisby was shrewder than that and had the images automatically sent to his email address.
Apparently police quite enjoyed showing Mr. Park the rather unflattering footage after he had tried to deny involvement. Park was sentenced to 11 months in prison which will hopefully teach him not to lay his grubby mitts on other people's stuff (or at least to wear a mask next time).
