Some members signed up for FightAIDS@Home incorrectly
This morning during the launch of the FightAIDS@Home Vina application, we had an error in our deployment which resulted in some users being signed up for the FightAIDS@Home project incorrectly. The users who are impacted would have joined World Community Grid early in our existence and had the option "Please opt me in to new projects as they become available." selected.We apologize ...

I would also imagine the crunching could be set to take place when plugged in like a laptop. This is interesting as we may be able to find a use for old phones instead of tossing them in land fills. How many of these devices could you run in place of a dated machine with similar processing power?

My next question would be do you have to have an account with a telephone provider to run the app? If not any old phone could work, just thinking outside the box..

But how would you connect to the internet to do your uploads and downloads if not with an account? Pre-paid card?

I thought most phones could also attach to wifi to send and receive work?
