They did have linux support but pulled it due to some bugs
I hope that means they are fixing them and it will be back

There's no 'join' button when you select AMD Users as your team to be.

P.S.: I'm in, the project seems to need an initialization of the user account first.

News from attaching this project - Be Forewarned - !!!!! When you use Tool tab on your BOINC Manager to get on-board if this shows up you won't be getting any work units!

This project uses VirtualBox technology, so please, make sure you have installed VirtualBox in your computer before accepting the terms of use.

Otherwise, your BOINC client will not receive any Work Unit, as it needs VirtualBox to run the scientific application.

Please make sure you have enough disk space (> 20G)

If you already run Test4Theory there's no need to be alarmed: you already ought to have installed the VM.
Hope this one behaves better than T4Ts, which seems to think the whole world belongs to it.

Got my first ClimateAtHome WU with an estimated 288 hour runtime...
208 hours still to go in blind panic mode (Running, high priority), needs to be finished on the 23rd, 13:06

The little bugger is supposed to finish in a little under 6 hours from now, five days overdue.
It will have run the entire 288 predicted hours by then. Wonder about the credit I'll get...

haha.
don't get too optimistic with your estimates there.
I checked the actual times on the project site for lots of wu's and found a lot of variation.
mine went past the estimated time a couple of days ago.
It is up to 381 hours and still ploughing on :)
but this is still within the range for some of the wu's that I observed that have been returned already.

It's just a pain that it is running on my laptop, so I can't stop it or suspend it.
It's running the original client, without checkpoint, so I can't risk interrupting it.
Just got to be patient ;)

oh.
I see what you mean about the deadline.
Mine is 9 days past due. :(

Mine went by its estimated time just a minute ago and still plods on!:5censored:
All for nothing: bad WU (http://climateathome.com/climateathome/workunit.php?wuid=1520):cussing:

AMDave's WU doesn't look too good either... (http://climateathome.com/climateathome/workunit.php?wuid=1465)

yup.
no point in continuing.
project admin did not extend the deadlines for those wu's.
aborting it now.
but this means we can then reset the project and get the newer client app.
and then try again.
