Since I cannot edit the article about the monthly challenges at the moment without starting it all over again from scratch, I'll take refuge to this method:

@AMDave: Thanks! I was slowly going bonkers with messages/articles I could or couldn't edit.
Seems a period defined in time: older articles I can edit and the newer too.

I have confirmed it is the same config issue on the host.
I can change it back but our host admin may be testing.
I have emailed. Response pending ...

First time was a test by me.
Second time is being investigated.

Happy to know that the first time has no connection with the hijacking we experienced around that same time.
