As it stands we are #2 in League 2 and hot candiate for entry to League 1

I "wish" everyone a dozen new A10 Richlands (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=AMD+A10&N=-1&isNodeId=1) for Christmas ;)

Wish for FM2+ mobo's to go with the A10 Richlands (or stick your Trinities in them), as Kaveri will be out January/February and seems to offer a 20-30% performance increase!

I have no FM2+ board yet (still on AM3+) so I will be wishing for Kaveris with next years budget and good reliable high end motherboards for them. :)

The user feedback on Newegg was not always positive for the Gigabyte GA-F2A88X-UP4 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128655) (seems to be BIOS related), better for the ASUS A88X-PRO (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132056) and also positive for the Asrock FM2A88X Extreme6+ (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157457), the three top boards at the moment.
In my opinion there's still chance for a brand new chipset for Steamroller on FM2+, as AMd has denied rumors that the FX is to be end-of-life. Might not even be surprized when a new AM3+ chip comes out of the high hat.

I have a problem with the feedback on NewEgg. I do read them but some of them that mark themselves as experts don't know a CPU from a Gpu. I do take a general consensus of the opinions and you can tell some of the respondents really do know their stuff so I add weight to their opinion. Also many on the brighter ones are just reporting on parts for gaming purposes and let's face it we are much harder on parts than the worst gamer.

Bump of old thread but I put some CPU cycles on TN-Grid this week and pushed us up to 10th for Formula BOINC 2019 so we gained an extra point. We might get to 9th if we're lucky.

Shouldn't we focus on projects where we can gain more points? I've done my efforts for 18 points at WEP-M+2.

Good advice Dirk. It was just I saw TN-Grid we were placed 11th and after a day of half my pharm snagged us 10th and 1 point.

Formula Boinc points:

1st = 25
2nd = 18
3rd = 15
4th = 12
5th = 10
6th = 8
7th = 6
8th = 4
9th = 2
10th = 1

Not so many days left to jump a position though...but it looks like we jumped over the Meisterkuehler.de team:

Vaughan, have you tried the Odroid-N2's at WEP-M+2 yet?

No they're running Yoyo and some Einstein and another I think it is Universe. Might give them a change of diet.

How much better are they than the Odroid-XU4?

You are sure this challenge (https://www.boincstats.com/stats/challenge/team/chat/1068) hasn't got anything to do with it?
Or was the challenge -doing that anyway- what made you look at the Formula BOINC 2019 (what effect could it have there)?

To be honest I was just looking at my old bookmarks and saw Formula BOINC. I then looked at our team and saw a couple of targets in reach: TN-Grid and Milkyway. Hence the powershift.

Can't crunch much today as its too $#@(ed hot here today. Currently it is 43.6C at 3pm.

Computers in computer room are all idling yet its 38.4C in there.

EDIT:
Temps maxed at 45C and my computer room a/c unit couldn't cope with the load, just switched itself off. So I had to power off everything.
