What's the priority????

Keeping athlon-XP's in mind, running linux. What are the team's goals in regards to projects? ie what's more important for instance, rc5, eon, TSC, D2OL

And the same for intels running linux?

All projects are equally important, some to maintain high ranks, others to push all the way up to the high ranks.
Each member is free to run the project(s) he/she most likes. Some people prefer the health oriented projects to benefit mankind in the future, others would like to find aliens out there :lol: and others (like me) prefer more uncommon projects like Pirates and Burp. lol
So my advice would be for you to dedicate yourself to the project(s) that pleases you the most. Or you can check on the DC matrix the most optimized projects for your machines and really stomp us in those.
What really matters is that we all have fun while crunching. :)

Do you prefer Maths type projects or you don't mind? Your P4s will do really well at Seventeen or Bust. DMMc, SmugJarous & myself could always use some GHz in eOn :)

In the Medical type projects D2OL and TSC need some work and Find-a-Drug and Folding at Home are good if you like "longer" tasks to crunch. I think there are Linux versions for all of these?

Make sure you run ChessBrain, WhatPulse, Tiny Key Counter and Dimes (if you can get the critter to behave). If you have plenty of spare bandwidth run Grub and Gomez.

Of the 7 projects in the current contest, all but grub & whatpulse run in linux. The grub linux client won't compile, and the whatpulse linux client doesn't work.

In addition to the contest things, I would advocate Chessbrain. We're on the verge of being able to maintain #1 position in daily production.
If you run Chessbrain, the strategy is different than in most projects. It's intermittent, and when it's making moves, there isn't enough work to keep all machines busy. So the work is parceled out in a taking-turns scheme. You can get a higher percentage of the available work by running many clients on each machine. An XP-2400+ should handle around 15 clients. If most of the clients finish their work assignments in less than 30 seconds, you're in good shape. Chessbrain runs in normal priority, so when it comes on it takes precedence over other DC processes.

Actually it's a 258 6cyl, Detroit True-Tracs front and rear, Terra-Low gearing in the transfer case, winch, 3 inch lift. Built for the mountains to run the old trails, skid roads, etc. Also have a 82 short bed Toyota 4x4 in the process of being stripped, modified, and put back together, also for the mountains. :)
