Hi Terry, Don't worry about SIMAP and Vaughan, I needed a break from crunching anyway and that was a good excuse as any. I still check the board for activity and to stay in touch, but crunching is on the back burner for a while. I was running 20 cores total after consolidation, but only 12 were full time (2 ea 6x and 2 GPU's in separate boxes). I added the other 8 when SIMAP did their monthly batch dump. Mostly I ran wcg the rest of the time. I reduced the # of computers due to the amount of power the GPU's sucked up. Wow! And I was running the HD 5850's which were sort of low power... Back to work Later, Bruce
Bruce, I just checked and Simap is a CPU project so if you want I'll throw the 10 I have running on it and add the 2 8350's i just got in the next few weeks.. That would be 26 cores total.
Glad to hear your good. Tell you what if you want to give me a couple of months to get my stuff built back up. We can take a swing at Vaughn. I plan on about 4 or 5 GOOD GPU's, Looking at 4 Radeon HD 6870's and maybe 1 of the new 6990's. With those up and running I'll just sign them in on your account and we'll see just what Vaughn has. I have seen why he keeps his systems always hidden. He can't hide them on Moo wrapper and of the machines he has on there every one of them are Intel I guess it embarasses him. lol
Glad to see your still here! Still running those headless boxes?
sorry I missed you in flash chat.. I was on the phone with the energy detective people to resolve an issue.
the chart I was looking at http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=7396
I don't wat to spend cputime to a openbox wich i don't need. I asked cause i didn't know if Linux needs a started Xserver for the driver.
