Apple and Intel?

I know why Apple moved chips but why Intel? ...surely AMD would have been more appropriate (faster, cheaper, less heat, less power consumption!).

Any ideas?

Most of the times those big industry deals don't follow what's best, but who pays better... :roll:

More likely Steve Jobs and Hector Ruiz probably when golfing and one pissed the other one off....

I've noticed that many business decisions are made based on some personal basis....

I heard something like they could have gone amd, but AMD wouldn't have been able to produce enough chips to supply them. Its the same with AMD/dell. But still i thought people bought Apple pcs to escape from intel, and Apple's newest chips are faster than intel's, so why they went to intel is a mystery to me.

I´m sure an Apple PC would cost more than an AMD. They have never been cheap but the quality have always ben good.
