Centrino

I saw that Dull has no plans to use AMD cpus. They advertise in Sydney newspapers a P4 3.06 HT [Inspiron5150] or a Centrino 1.4 at AUD2299 [Inspiron8600]. How does the Centrino perform in DC projects? What is its comparative performance? Is there a league table somewhere that anyone knows of?

I would think they would be ok for some projects if you could keep them cool enough not to throttle down
