5.4.9 is now the recommended client.
Had been running it for a while on my laptop. No probs.
Better stats tab as well ;)

Woot. I'm just hoping a optimized client for this will come out soon.
Can I install this Boinc manager over my 5.2.6 as is optimized with 5.2.13? And in the same directory?
Lagu :?
If you install this new version on top of an optimized one, you'll lose the optimized version. Your benchmark values will go down, as well as the credit claimed for each workunit.
I've loaded this new client into my 3800+. I'll see if it has any change on my recent RAC of 561 on this machine.
Cheers Steve. :)
My laptop works fione with it but then it never had an optimised client.
I would have thought that there was some cross-compatibility with the RPC connectivity. I was sure it should work, but I am blowed if I can figure out why it didn't.
As soon as I upgraded 1 client it couldn't talk to any of the others, regardless of configuration.
All now on 5.4.9 and talking to each other again happily.
Not crunching much other than PSP LLR at the moment anyway, but it was educational.
Thinking of updating all regardless of the fact thats there's no core client because I got myself a BAM account over at Boinc stats and it needs 5.4.9 to work properly :)
Will give some feedback on the BAM when I get it working..(waiting for my activation email)
BAM = BOINC Account Manager ;)
