Ever have a machine shut down in the middle of flashing a Bios? I don't recommend it.
Yes, I have and I had to buy a new chip to get it going again...
that's a bummer...
Yup brand new Asus board. The bas part is I lose 2 days of output of an X2 3800. Worked all afternoon building it. Asus is going to overnight me a chip in the morning.
Tell them you lost thousands of dollars due to downtime and you are gonna need more than that... :icon_twisted:
LMAO I'll settle for the chip.
Since your getting a new one I recommend hot swapping them and flashing the bad 1 so you'll have a back up for the future...
Excellent Idea!! If you can tell me how I can do that right now!! I have an identical system.
Just start up the good system pop out the Bios chip pop in the bad 1 and flash it... Just be careful to not short anything...
