Happy Birthday to AMD Users!!!
Guys, I just happened to be working on the Wiki and noticed, our Team just turned 10 years old on January 8th! :birthday:
Now that I think of it, we should have planned something for the event, maybe a website tweak to show the 10 years on the Team logo or something. If anyone can do it, we are still on time! :)
10 years is a lifetime in Distributed Computing... Most projects don't last 10 years, and most teams don't even last half of that! We have been so lucky to have such a strong and dedicated core of administrators to keep us going over the years, through thick and thin, dodging hacker attacks, doing server and forums maintenance, and dealing with spammers and troublemakers every now and then.
And of course we have also been blessed with having so many members worldwide joining us over the years, and boosting our Team with so much computing power that we sky-rocketed in the ranks to become one of the strongest teams in the world. You can verify that on any stats website. :)
So, on behalf of the AMD Users Team, to every member of these forums and to all of our anonymous contributors out there, I say Thank You for being there for us! From the member with the largest computer array, to the member with the single one-old-but-still-crunching machine (which I was when I first joined) I say Thank You for your contribution! 10 years in existence and achieving high ranks worldwide would not have been possible without each and every one of you!
I've been a part of this Team for 8 of these 10 years (joined in late 2003), and I hope to be here for many more to come.
GO AMD USERS!!!!!!!!!:qgreenjumpers:
