I tried to put a couple systems on it last night and couldn't get any dns resolution either. just dead as a rock.
edit: well I just tried putting a system on it just now, and it hooked right up. So naturally, it's a linux box, so we will see how the points thing goes for it. :)
Well it looks like they have changed the scoring sytem, then did the change to the change... and then the change to the change of the change. Anyway, so does anyone have any idea of where they are at now with their scoring system??? Basically like is it worth running on linux now or are we back to the same lop sided thing with the boinc internal benchmark based stuff.
Back in the saddle again. It's been a while since I have run Boinc gentlemen, but Tanpaku is where my heart is. All systems are go!!!
Bruce,
I think your going to like it. it looks like they just cut the scored in half for Windoze. You should be very competitive or even ahead.
As of USA PST 11:05am 3-31-07 we are 35,662.14 points behind the #1 team.
The day before yesterday they crunched 10,629, AMD crunched 3,551.
Yesterday they crunched 9,323, AMD crunched 1,860.
So the gap widened 14,541 in just a couple days. We are going to have to get 10,000 avg per day just to stay even before we can gain on them and get the #1 position back.
Due to change in a hurry! And #1 is also subject to change. lol
I just put minimum 16 Ghz on Tanpaku. Do we need more?
It'll just make up the ground faster they are producing 9,000 a day and I'm new to this scoreing system. It changed since I was here last. So, I have no idea what I will proiduce. And it will be fun to run over the 2 BBP members up ahead lol
