any predictions on the winner yet?
I think Nflight will win as he probably was saving WU's ever since the first day they decided to do the contest.
yup, this should be pretty close, unless someone has some:
I predict the winner will be the person who has the most points.:icon_lol:
speaking of which, are you in Ramjet?
How about you Frederic Brillouet ?
ah, gotcha.
Hey Neogen,
where you gonna make a race stats page?
30 minutes and Ill flush I was afraid of slushing too early so waiting till 12:01 and then going to flush :). Anyways I will probably have a couple 1000 credits seeing as I did about 5 days worth of work or so :).
don't expect a flush from me, didn't even download my first unit until this afternoon.
cool, gotcha, me to.
Yeah its the correct host I hadnt done primegrid on this pc until about a week ago. I was on ab@home trying to get to 200000 lol. Anyways the website seems to be currently having connection issues so Idk what is going on. Lol you do know that about 99% of all my total credits are from this one pc :P.
it appears that prime grids validation isnt too happy at the moment (1 Dec 2008 7:13:02 UTC) only has 573,175 Workunits waiting for validation, all of the ones i have dumped are in pending credits
edit
573,150 Workunits waiting for validation 1 Dec 2008 7:21:09 UTC it is getting there slowly lol at least it is heading in the right direction lol
Yeah myn are too how gay 2500 pending credits........
i have Pending credit: 1,144.59 worth of TPS llr workunits, how did you manage to get 2500 pending credits ?
Alright, which one of you guys shut my power off last night?........anyone?............anyone?.......... ......Buehler?................Buehler?............ .Oh, alright it must have been the snowstorm then. :icon_twisted: I guess you guys are all in the clear. That ought to give you's a little advantage. Good Luck to all! I'd say that prolly drops me out...but it's a long race yet. :icon_wink:
I ran the client 24/7 for 4 days after i saw their was a race and my pc is overclocked so :).
I'm kind of disappointed with Primegrid's validation... by the numbers I have, you guys flushed over 2500 WUs in the first 12 hours of contest, but only 31 have been granted.
I haven't created the stats page yet, I'll wait a few more hours to see if this gets better. The only one with granted credit (the 31 WUs) at the time was shotgunner101.
It looks like the validater is working again it has given me 1500 of my 2500 credits so :). Anyways looks like its a close race so far.
It finally gave me over 3K credits, so maybe it's finally working. Hope it says that way.
I am still readying the stats guys, I need a few more hours. :icon_neutral:
The validator seems to be picking up speed indeed, but that brought me another problem that I wasn't aware of at the time. Workunits from other subprojects that were probably pending for some time started to trickle into the hosts credits, which messed up the numbers "a little". (for example, the totals showing an average of 20 credits/WU)
So I have created a routine to validate every workunit to make sure it's TPS only and discard other kinds. The problem is that it's taking a few hours to go through the >3000 WUs you guys already crunched. :)
TPS only? Where did that come from? I have mine set for 64-bit apps with a fallback to others if the 64-bit apps aren't available, which means NONE of mine are TPS.
Rules to running this race!
1) Primegrid Boinc is the project of choice. You choice of OS to run, Windoze or IX.
no mention of a specific project here
6) The winner will have accumulated the most points on their specific previously posted computer id for the month of December, ending with the last projects posted xml output of crunch efforts. This will of course be based on your computer-id’s end total points minus your starting total, which will yield your months output.
Again, no specific project, just " last projects crunch efforts"
I didn't see that anywhere in the rules either, I was running mostly woodall, (I think that's what it's called) or whatever it would send me. :(
You are right!
Although it was discussed in the prep-meetings, it is not in the top post here.
We will sort that out.
I am sure NeoGen has all the files and can remove the TPS filter.
He is not online a.t.m. but we will get this to him a.s.a.p.
Just keep crunching the way you are crunching.
And good luck everyone
(wishing I had an X2 handy.)
I'm back guys! :)
Oooh boy... big mess I did here I guess. I was really under the impression that it was TPS only. :icon_redface:
But fear not everyone, for I am a Database master, and one rule is to never ever delete anything. :icon_lol:
I have the backlog of all workunits crunched by you guys since the start, the filter I added was only a field called "isTPS", with values "true" and "false". And when calculating I checked if "isTPS" is "true" then sum, else skip to the next. That's all it takes. :icon_wink:
I will take out the filter and sum everything up then. And maybe tonight I'll finally put up the stats page! Yay! :)
Finally! Back up and running...the power outages seemed to have corrupted my hdd, had to reinstall everything and start over, thankfully my device ID didn't change so I can still compete. Been down since sunday night so I probably don't have a chance of winning now, but it will still be fun to see what the old Opty can do. :) Still haven't gotten my finished wu's validated, what's up with that?
I didn't have time to create the stats page yet, but I got the numbers all here. I'll at least post them to keep you guys up to date. :)
As of 4:30 am of 12/03/2008, time when the stats were fetched by the batch job, the results were the following
1- meshmar (3,669.95)
2- shotgunner101 (3,650.85)
3- Nflight (2,051.75)
4- Danish Dinamyte (1,993.75)
5- liuqyn (1,492.05)
6- vaughan (1,444.20)
7- Bender10 (820.70)
8- txt.file (330.87)
9- NeoGen (46.4)
10- Jason1478963 (4.35)
11- BlackAdder (0)
BalckAdder... isn't your host 88946? I'm not getting any workunit from that host.
i helped find a prime 53507415579*2^333333-1 was only double checker thou
Neo...my Opteron's ID is 89138 , maybe I didn't copy it correctly ???
Neo, 88946 is a XP2500 that I shut off to conserve electricity...
woohoo the race is close can't wait to see who wins :).
Yup, I checked with the list of hosts that mitchell sent me, and we both have that old host id on our lists.
But you are very lucky because I managed to rescue workunits from this other host as old as of Nov 28, which means you're back up and running with 700+ credits accounted for. (60+ WUs) :)
It probably may not be as much as you had cached before the contest, because Primegrid recycles the older workunits regularly to free space, but at least it gives you a jumpstart to 8th place. :icon_wink:
Hmm... I think I just broke the rule about changing hosts in mid contest... but it's for a good reason. Am I a nice guy or what? :icon_wink: :icon_lol:
It's all in the Christmas spirit. :icon_santa:
Lol howd you get your processor to a higher clock than mine lol. I got a quad core cooler but cant get over 3000mhz per core without failure to boot.
I'm using an Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Brisbane Black Edition Processor on a MSI K9AGM3-FIH motherboard with this cooler http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835200036 and 2 sticks of cas 4 memory. I could actually go a little higher than I have it right now ... if I have to. The 64 bit linux may be a factor too.
