I could see a correlation indeed... unlike businesses that work monday-friday 8am-5pm, distributed computing is a hobby, which means it would have it's higher peaks after business hours and on weekends, as people are not usually checking their stats and doing things on boinc during the week while at work.Quote:

About the DDOS attacks I don't know, I haven't read about that one, but I'd conjecture that hackers also have day jobs so they mostly attack after hours and weekends too :icon_lol:
