Well done AMD USR JL, a great idea for the news letter as Neo says.
Looking good!Quote:

In a pie chart it's harder to see the monthly progression, comparing to a line or column chart.
Now what would be really interesting is to see the new user to new user contribution ratio, per month...although the data would be a ball-ache to collect :D
It was a flippin' nightmare, so I stopped.
Ototero does capture the daily individual scores on our stats pages, so it is easy enough to compare snapshots at marked intervals and calculate differences.
I found it is not a good idea to try to combine contributions into an overall figure as it simply separates those who can from those who can't. Regardless of the formulae used the results are fairly predictable, but efforts to affect those scores are offset by the comings and goings of memberiship in the projects as well as new projects starting and old one's ending, which gave rise to many awkward questions.
You will, however, find that our newsletter continues to identify the biggest contributors per project per month, thanks to NeoGen.
It took some rather large and unweildy tables on Excel, along with some VB macros, to be able to get those numbers from Ototero's stats page, but it was worth it. :)
We could use a redesign of the newsletter to accomodate more stuff, like charts, maybe splitting it in several pages and making it an e-zine. :)
With all the new projects, it's been growing in length so much that at a point it was kinda "folded" (the thing with the buttons that expand) like it is now so that the page wouldn't appear incredibly long.
But alas, these things require time and effort, and free time is something no one has much nowadays.
