dont the dual core amd's have a cold bug at about - 23 c ?
By my calculations Meshmar will overtake me in approx 752 days :icon_wink:
I don't dare go near the AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ for fear of jinxing it. :5obsessed:
Now I'm bask to getting a string of "No WU available", with an occasional WU downloaded.
Only 2 days left ....
Congrats Vaughan, it looks like you are about to become the proud owner of a dual cpu cruncher. It's been a fun race, can't wait for the next one. :) :wav:
This has been a really cool race to sit by and watch!! :) I've really enjoyed it and congratulate everyone "racing." You all made it a real kick in the pants to watch. And last but not least, a thank you to the benevolence of the "unknown donor" that made it all possible! Was really a good team spirit kind of thing to watch over the holiday season!! :icon_santa:
About 26 hours to go fellows. :icon_santa:
I may do the last stats collection a couple hours later due to new year's celebrations and all, but before producing the final stats I'll manually cut off workunits sent after the deadline.
Well... we sure had a few bumps on the road at the begining, a few things not well defined (TPS only or not), a few unforeseen events (host id changes), the rules of the game changed a bit when the 64bit PSP Sieve credits values were shown, but all in all things worked out well in the end, and we've learned plenty with it. So next time let's do something even bigger and better guys! :icon_mrgreen:
And believe it or not, these 12 dual-core machines alone have crunched for a total of nearly 12.000 CPU hours, on nearly 60.000 Workunits, making over 500.000 credits for the Team. Impressive! :)
Very fine job everyone !! Congrats to all involved.
I have to admit that I completely under estimated the X2s and skipped them waiting for the phenom hence now keeping me out of this race.
Well done to all of the contestants, that is a whole lot of credit and kudos to you.
Some of us were convinced that one of you was going to fry something expensive but you all surprised us again.
It seems that the X2 still has some legs in it.
Go AMD Users!
