Is it just me or does the Start Page of amdusers.com really uses that massiv amount of resources?? I am using an AMD phenom XII 940, firefox 3.6.3 and the average cpu usage on the front page is about 25%(meaning one whole core!!). All other sites showed a normal behavior cpu-wise.
Is it my setup (meaning a missing plug in or something like that) or is it the rendering?
Anybody experiencing the same?
greetings vel.
P.S.: i know it is not really an error, but i thought it kind of fits here...
Edit: when i scroll down, so that the main logo disapears, the usage instantly goes down....
It seems to be the big banner on the top.
Yup, I have the same issue too, as well as others. Seems the flash banner does some heavy duty processing to render the animation.
We already alerted Jeff to it, he should be able to work out something.
I'll have to get with my graphics guy to see what can be done.
I try to edit my signature with IE 9 and Opera... but in both browsers is see the same... no chance to save changes..

Yes. You are correct.
The message edit panel does not work properly in those IE9 compatibility mode, or Opera, or Arora, or Midori, or links, or elinks.
The white message pane renders over the top of the controls.
It is a javascript issue with a vBulletin plugin.
Please use Firefox or Chrome or Chromium or Epiphany or Seamonkey all of which I have tested as working.
Hmmm, install a new browser only to edit my signature ???
Maybe i find a computer were this stuff is installed... but not on my machine... Opera is enough :)
Ok. It is now working in IE9 in both IE9 mode and in IE9 compatibility mode.
However Opera (current version) craps itself over the -moz and -webkit prefixes in the CSS and flips out when it tries to render the page.
Lots of page elements fail to appear.
Opera thinks there are over 1800 errors on the page.
It appears to be a problem with Opera.
All other browsers are working.
I just make it with Chrome...
I have no other problems with Opera :)
Me too.
Glad you have a way to post :)
