You are finally crunching PSP Sieve with the rest of the gang. In having a 64bit OS your credits per hour instantly tripled. :)
Now, the only one missing seems to be Danish Dynamite. Come on Danish, join us in the primegrid challenge. :)

Yeah, finally changed to PSP also...
In case anybody missed this from the other thread, take note!
Scores will be kept for individuals and teams. Only work units issued AFTER 17 December 2008 12:04 UTC and received BEFORE 21 December 2008 12:04 UTC will be considered for credit. Since this is a fixed credit project, we'll be using cobblestones for scoring.
It looks like we will need to do a flush of all our old wu's.
I won't be able to flush as I am on the road, but I set my buffers for only 0.5 days so my overrun shouldn't be too bad.
Is anyone else getting a LOT of cancelled WU or 'lost' wu being resent? I'm seeing those lately, and I think that has something to do with my performance ... as well as another power outage :sad5:
Meshmar I am causing a lot of work units to be canceled due to my system downloading way too much for the system to handle. I have discussed this issue with many people but my system will not stop till the most amount allowed is downloaded no matter what I set the preferences to. This of course makes me cancel or abort a huge amount of work units. Very Time consuming. This is why I hate BOINC projects. Freaking ridiculous. :icon_mad:
I'm not canceling mine ... they are "Canceled by Server". Those along with the "Lost Workunit resent" are all coming from the Primegrid end. It's burning a lot of HD and Bandwidth time ...
i have found out for some reason all comps besides the one is this event for PSP Sieve work units is downloading 64 bit (primegrid_psp_sr2sieve_wrapper_1.02_windows_x86_6 4.exe) instead of 32 bit (primegrid_psp_sr2sieve_wrapper_1.02_windows_intel x86.exe) since i have 32 bit xp and boinc installed and running i guess thats why i have been getting client errors
Stats update! :)
Meshmar, those power failures are killing you in the contest. You've reached the 73 credits/hour average, and still rising, but vaughan is getting away, and Jason is getting close. Maybe you can push the OC a little bit more to compensate for the lost time? :icon_razz:
Bender, you're racking up the credits like a rocket! Now you're really tapping the potential of your cruncher there. :icon_wink:
Now comes the real test - I'm going to be gone for the weekend to a family reunion ...
Hopefully, the power issues will hold off while I'm gone.
Well... we're on the 20th of the month now, two thirds of the contest are now done.
In 20 days 12 machines have crunched over 50,000 WUs that took more than 8,500 CPU hours and generated more than 300,000 credits for the Team. These numbers are impressive. :)
I'm keeping the stats updated about 2x a day, so even if I don't post announcing stats update you can always check the stats. :icon_wink:
7 days left !! Where or where will I be shipping the prize ?
I wish it was coming to me..... :)
It's been fun guys, since I have no chance of catching the leaders I'm returning to GPU Folding for the most part. I may do a few more wu's... Boinc Logix shows I have done 1097 Prime Grid work units, and I must say the points are not bad either.
Now who to cheer on to victory ???
Happy Holidays All !! :icon_santa:
Looking at the stats today, chances are that it's to Australia. :icon_wink:
Vaughan has gained great distance during these last couple of days. I guess meshmar might be suffering of power failures again.
But there's plenty of time left yet, so let's see how it turns out. :)
I'm getting messages about "No WU" "Internal Server Error" etc. definitely some issues connecting to or d/l from PrimeGrid. Not sure what's going on :sad5:
Hey guys
Sorry for the lack of updates, I have a bit of a flew. Can't be near the computer, looking at the screen makes my head hurt. I'll try to keep the stats updated.
But as of the last update, vaughan has a big lead over everyone else. Run vaughan run! :)
You can check it out on the links on my sig. :icon_wink:
Hey whats up guys? I threw a machine at this as well. I hope you all had a good holidays!!
Nice to see your shining smile there AquaJoe, I miss seeing that blackbird taxing down the runway more often. :icon_mrgreen:
I'm finally getting a steady supply of WU ... but it looks like it's a little late
maybe not to late, got any http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Li...rogen_tank.JPG ??
dont the dual core amd's have a cold bug at about - 23 c ?
By my calculations Meshmar will overtake me in approx 752 days :icon_wink:
I don't dare go near the AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ for fear of jinxing it. :5obsessed:
Now I'm bask to getting a string of "No WU available", with an occasional WU downloaded.
Only 2 days left ....
Congrats Vaughan, it looks like you are about to become the proud owner of a dual cpu cruncher. It's been a fun race, can't wait for the next one. :) :wav:
This has been a really cool race to sit by and watch!! :) I've really enjoyed it and congratulate everyone "racing." You all made it a real kick in the pants to watch. And last but not least, a thank you to the benevolence of the "unknown donor" that made it all possible! Was really a good team spirit kind of thing to watch over the holiday season!! :icon_santa:
About 26 hours to go fellows. :icon_santa:
I may do the last stats collection a couple hours later due to new year's celebrations and all, but before producing the final stats I'll manually cut off workunits sent after the deadline.
Well... we sure had a few bumps on the road at the begining, a few things not well defined (TPS only or not), a few unforeseen events (host id changes), the rules of the game changed a bit when the 64bit PSP Sieve credits values were shown, but all in all things worked out well in the end, and we've learned plenty with it. So next time let's do something even bigger and better guys! :icon_mrgreen:
And believe it or not, these 12 dual-core machines alone have crunched for a total of nearly 12.000 CPU hours, on nearly 60.000 Workunits, making over 500.000 credits for the Team. Impressive! :)
Very fine job everyone !! Congrats to all involved.
I have to admit that I completely under estimated the X2s and skipped them waiting for the phenom hence now keeping me out of this race.
Well done to all of the contestants, that is a whole lot of credit and kudos to you.
Some of us were convinced that one of you was going to fry something expensive but you all surprised us again.
It seems that the X2 still has some legs in it.
Go AMD Users!
FINISHED!!! :icon_santa:

I hope I can "squeeze her good" for you. :)
Congrats Vaughan. Maybe next time I'll have a little better luck with my Power Co (or have a backup generator).
congrats vaughan
Way to go Vaughan !! This was a fun race...and thanks to NeoGen for the stats.Maybe next time............:icon_twisted:
