(I did some editing to try to get it to post legibly. Looks better on the web site.)
I'm in the 15,757th place. And I'd like to take this moment to thank all of the little people I stepped on to attain my well deserved lofty and glorious position.
500 out of 761,437
Way to go Chris!!! :D
Need to include that one in the next monthly NeoGen.
Hmm.... nice idea. :)
If I don't forget until the end of the month, I'll try to make a round-up of our best ranked people at the combined boinc stats for the newsletter.
Congratulations Chris =D<
How long did it take?
Congrats
go cicide go
:salute:
As of this morning Chris is now in 499th place, Way to go Chris !~!~!

on my page i have 3 separate BOINC Cross Project IDentifier (CPID). how do i get these to merge together? i know they are all me - i picked a distinct name on purpose so no-one else would use it!
http://www.boincsynergy.com/stats/in...ul&searchteam=
Did you use a different email when registering for BBC and LHC? I think that's the only thing that influences the CPID's outcome...
Sometimes the CPID also starts out different when you create account and attach to a project, but it gets in sync a few days later... BBC and LHC aren't new projects, so I'm guessing this last bit doesn't help on your problem...
Adding to the conversations I have the same problem as Empty_5oul, I have two identifiers, which means I would be higher on the rankings if I had them both together. So with that wondering today I am going to write an email and ask them how do I get both my CPID's added together?
i thought before its if i installed boinc on say a new machine. But if i was to add them so they were all on the same computer after a few days they would merge themselves.
nflight if you get it resolved i would be interested to hear how. thanks.
Taken directly off the FAQ of Boinc Stats:
So I suppose we should just be patient !~!Quote:
Why do I have duplicate/split accounts in the BOINC combined stats?
The cause of this is the CPID, Cross Project IDentifier. Every project assigns a new user a CPID. It is partly based on the email address you used to sign up, the other part is random.
The CPID is used by BOINCstats to identify a user across projects.
Whenever you sign up with a new project, you’ll get a new account on BOINCstats because the CPID is new.
What to do to make sure you’ll end up with one BOINCstats account:
* Use the exact same email address for every project.
* Run at least one system with all projects, or one system with project A and B, and one system with project B and C. If there is a project that runs isolated from the other projects, it's CPID with never line up.
When you join a new project, this project assigns you a new CPID. This CPID can either change to the same CPID as the other projects, or the other projects change (one by one) to the new CPID.
It is impossible for me to manually edit your accounts to create one account. It would take to much time to do this for everyone. Just wait a while, and your accounts will line up automatically.
One last thing, which is not too important, but nice for the stats: use the same username across projects, otherwise you get a username like 'Al Bundy @ SAH / Al Bundy @ Predictor / A. Bundy @ CPDN'.
According to the stats Chris Cicide is now below 450th place ! Woo Hoo
Way to go Chris: :wav:
Holy cheeze factories!
Given the crunching power of the top 500 that's no mean feat given the short time that has passed since 500.
@ cicide, I am humbled by your Zen.
:notworthy: Ommmmm! :notworthy:
I agree with AMDave.
=D<
Hey Chris, can you spare some GHz for Riesel Sieve?
We need a boost soon or we'll be :buzzsaw:
I had mentioned that I wanted to reach 5,000 as my Boinc rank. Well I am fast approaching the 4,000 mark. Where I used to jump 35 to 70 places each day has now slowed down to an average of 15 to 22 each day. Everyday the competition is getting harder and harder to pass. As of this writing I am at 4,068 th place.
Where are you listed in the world ranking ?

ummmm 311,728 lol
Aahhh 5,579 I'll get back to it sometime.
5,349 and started Bonic September 16, 2005. Not to bad, but I need more power.
1,197 for me.
Nice work there Dave Mitchell, Keep on keeping on! :blob3:
I have 5 CPID's... One of these days I will actually combine them... Poor Nflight did all that typing for me, and I still haven't done it... I'm such a lazy bum.
You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink! :2gunsfiring_v1:
No, but with the proper application of a ballbat you can drowned him. lol
ROFLMAO :icon_razz:
long way to go for me, to reach such numbers...... :(

I'm about to have some real fun for about 1 month, maybe a little longer. We just installed 20 blades into our blade chassis last night that I'm bringing up now and sticking boinc on them. Unfortunately they are intel blades, but they are Intel Xeon 5150s @2.6GHz, dual-core, dual-procs. So I'm adding 80 procs worth of capacity. They'll slowly go away as the company needs them, but I don't think we'll touch them for at least a month
-Chris
Nice Chris. What project(s) are you going to boost with this blade technology?
I'll initially be running Malaria Control. If you have any other ones that you think I should run, let me know and I'll run it by the folks in charge and make sure they don't have any issue.
-Chris
Yippee for me, not that I will even get to the 3,000 mark as soon as I got to this mark but, hey I will continue to fight for everything I can. :blob3:
After reveiwing the stats and looking over the numbers lately the amount of change has decreased a lot. Instead of jumping over 35 people a day, I see losing a place if I am not consistent for two days. Harder to keep the value attained once your here!
PS: This was a self appreciation moment
congrats Nflight.............
:wav:
go go go....
We passed Team 2CPU.com today for the 34th place! :D
According to boincstats we will overtake team Picard in 74 days. Good job everybody!

My sig should say my world position, it's probably about 15,000-ish.
EDIT: 15,353 World Rank at the time of writing. Way to go chris!
3,938th... Hmmm not bad... I haven't checked my rank in a long time...
