We have a couple of project (Not Boinc) with their own client.
Take D20L, TSC (they have a similar client) and Dimes, EoN, Moneybee, Redy Responce and a few more.
I have experience of D2OL, Dimes, Eon, MoneyBee and Redy Responce.
D2OL takes 15 - 20 min. per work, MoneyBee need 4-5 hours and the other has various length to go. In MoneyBee you begin on 9.500 level but you moved forward rapidly because there is so many participants as has stopped running it. I myself is nr 1018 in the stats.

Well I guess my comments in here would center around if any care to play the DC_Vault game. If so, then that would change how or rather what a person would crunch if they were interested in the team position. Case in point, we lost the lead contributor in TSC, which knocked us down in ranking points. So in the other thread I'd asked whether or not running up the score in TSC would help us and how much would be needed for the best "reasonable" gain. TSC is another project that has a lot of teams crunching away. It is non-boinc which is a plus for those of us that don't relish boinc. As Ototero said, people crunch for different reasons. I put several systems on TSC last night, and am watching to see how it goes to get an idea of what would be involved in trying to get the score back up to 44,000 points or so.
In a PM with AMDave, I had asked him about a good one for my X2 on windows, and he mentioned Tanpaku. So I put that system (and a couple others) on it. I'm watching that too.
In trolling around the DC team world I've noticed that there are some teams that are ramping up their participation with the goal of enhancing their DCV standing. On the one hand, it brings a little "life" back into things and gets some interest generated. So is anyone else interested in pursuing this area?
I'd like to have some kind of choice based on something like the following;
* Project good for processor type x
* Project good for O/S (Linux, Win, OSX etc.)
* Type of project - Math, Medical Science etc.
* Our Team ranking
* Team being challenged in the stats (losing or about to lose rank)!
* Then of course any team effort or races that are on offer!
If I had that type of knowledge at hand then my systems would not be all over the place like they are at the moment! :oops:
I crunch Folding because of a few reasons...
- Good science (IMHO it's more use than alien hunting)
- Downtime is virtually nil - Unlike most BOINC projects, F@H has 2 assignment servers and countless project servers...thus more work.
- F@H doesn't need babysitting
-F@H is more interactive. - Because of the range of cores and WU's, websites have been setup to record data on how often a WU takes etc on PC's and how memory bandwidth etc effects scores... more stats basically ;)
-Most F@H WU's run well on AMD
-There's no credit lottery - A WU gives certian points...so no benchmark system like BOINC to exploit. It's FAIR.

Try MoneyBee for something non-BOINC that can help the team's effort.
Just a status update here, I had a bunch of systems on TSC. Well I can grind out in excess of 1200 units a day, but it would take me quite a while to get the points up to the level that they need to be at to get anything to help us in DC_Vault. On top of that, the top ten teams have a pretty good run at it already so I don't think that TSC is one of those endeavors that is going to help us much. I ended up taking them off TSC, and put more linux systems on Tanpaku. and also a few back crunching on ogr cause I sorta like it. :) In case you haven't noticed we have ars_technica hanging right in our rear view mirror on Tanpaku.

It's a concept borrowed from fdc which I wrangled a bit more into and added more project. BUT (dang those buts) it hasn't been updated in a while. So sue me (eek! just kidding).
Bok's stats are tops for looking at which teams are where and by how far because we are in pretty much all of them, BUT a couple of projects there do not have every team in them, just a "focus" group. It takes minutes to get the rest of the info from the source stats anyways.
I still use the ol'e matrix page as a jump-off point myself so perhaps it's time to give it a fresh coat of paint.
And I as just joined Community TSC trying to help fill the gap as we lose.
I was thinking to back up Brucifer but I had nothing for that.
