Dear VGTU project@Home users,
We have decided to stop the computations with the current application for grillage optimization. Some results have been obtained. We have prepared and submitted according publication, which is currently under review. However, new ideas are needed to move forward.
Now, we stop the generation of new tasks and wait for all results to return back to the project server.
Next, we will update the server software to support GDPR - the European General Data Protection Regulation.
We thank you for active participation and wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
With best regards,
The Project Team

You have to check the box 'Dou you consent to exporting your data to BOINC statistics aggregation Web sites' if you want to let them export your stats

And now I am the team's #1, because I changed that setting.
What is worse is that I am also world-wide #1, because nobody else has done it....

Yay!
I'll make 4th again - for a bit

Too late, we've a 4th. You can still be 5th however..

I'm consenting to my data too. This should be the default on all projects, whoever doesn't want it should go in and reverse it.
Maybe make it part of the account creation already, so that once creating the account you immediately set it.

I don't understand the need for GDPR to apply to BOINC projects as by definition we are volunteering to join up and run the project's work units. It seems to be an over cautious approach to expect participants to retrospectively login in an slect a checl box that says "yes I agree to doing work" and my results being visible on stats sites like Free-DC.
