:icon_eek: ... Have more Coffee Nflight, we've been in 3'rd place since at least early yesterday ... :icon_wink:

You guys go fo it!! I just brought 3 more dullies online that I built this week and I'll hold our place in Xlab. God I love Xmas presents from the wife. But, I am getting a little tired of running elec circuits to the bedroom. Next spring I'm going to build a shed in the yard and move my zoo out there.
Make sure you put air conditioning and plumbing in, else the wife'll move back in on ya.
Already told her she'll be invited out for about an hour about 3 or 4 times a week. lol
It's the wife's term. lol Among others at times.
My small collection has been called the output from a zoo ... a Pile of %$^&.:dontknow:
Meshmar That is more along the lines of the compliments I recieve, I pile of Roo dung is the best so far! Lately these baby's are my chew toys according to my neices. To young yet to know what they are used for! This afternoon I will be switching my Rocketship over to the Protein Project. I will be leaving the warmth and power with the Zoo Tender, (Go Gatekeeper53)! :blob3:
I should have 2 more Core 2 Duo's up and running by the end of next week or early the week after. I've had the CPU's, Memory & Video Cards sitting for a month now waiting for the Motherboards to come in. I finally decided to go with a different Motherboard that had the Features I wanted and actually cost $115 less each ...
I had no idea when I would get the other Motherboards so I decided to go this route instead ...
Oh, it was your computers that you were calling your Zoo.
This is what I had on a "wish list" from a couple of months ago.

The problem is that I had decided I didn't want any more 4800+'s because they run so hot. The wife saw the old list and ordered me 3 of them for christmas. Once the boxes started showing up she just went ahead and told me. No way was I going to pout and tick her off so I'll just have to wait till spring to get what I've been really wanting. I want to try one of those Tyon boards and build a server. The dang boxes are getting out of hand and I think it's time to try putting all of this into racks. Even if I have to find a way to make a cold room. A shed will work but even then I'll have to have two rooms. One to work in and the other for the machines that I can lower the temp in. I just ordered another KVM switch to gang onto the one I got last month. I really like the D-Link so I stayed with that brand, but the cables are out of sight.
Yea Steve I used to name them after the family members that I built them for but I ran out of kids so now I have Zebra, Roo, Cheata, Tiger...........
Someday I will dream of all those goodies I can add on to my collection. But, for now I just need to get cranking on Proteins at home project. So Rocketship has just signed on, Will see what I can do with these two machines and how fast we achieve #1 place. P.S. Gatekeeper53 you know since you ran out of kids names you could add a few to the corral and keep the wife busy and out of your hair? Just a thought! :blob3:
What a wife, I want one like that (but I can't because I'm already married and bigamy isn't allowed here)
It looks like Free-DC is going to give the Protein Project a little Push. Bok was there on his own & not really doing that bad by himself, but he's got help now so without any more help here I don't know how long we''ll be able to hold them off ... :help:
H E L P - I am not sure how much more I can holler I am getting hoarse here! Flags are waiving, maybe if I turned the light on someone could see me over here! :blob3: :blob3: :blob3:
I've just reserved some for myself.
I had an idea they were heavy for my machine... but the one it's running now it's at 50% in 15 minutes... is that normal? are they that fast now?
The work Units they are dishing out right now last from anywhere of 23 minutes down to 11 minutes. Thats pretty fast compared to just two days ago at 1.5 to 3 hours each!
This is the kind of workunits I like :)
Proteins Home page is down. Has anyone else noticed this! According to there foresight they published teh a few items of the project would be down due to a break in classes at the university. I believe we are seeing this happen as you read this.:icon_rolleyes:
This is why I run at least two projects on each system. Chances are that both won't be down at the same time. I despise the thought of wasted capacity.
Congrats to the team! We have reached second place in Proteins@Home. However, FreeDC will be taking that place away from us tomorrow.
Yesterday I cranked up my second system to 100% on this project and the stats should show it tomorrow, but I can't make up for what FreeDC can put out. PoorBoy is putting out a massive amount of work - #1 in the world, but it will take more team effort to retain our standing here.
I have a third system that I can eventually bring online for this project, once I get it running. It is being, problematic.
I pulled a few PC's off the Proteins Project for awhile today and put them on the ABC Project, but they'll go back to the Protein Project tonight. I should have a Quad Core up and running later this week, have to see if we can run Free DC back down again or not ...
I've put an XP3000+ on Proteins to help out. :)
Alright, I am tired of helping hackers... I am going to put the farm on Proteins@Home or as Terry would call it... "The Zoo". I will have 5 PC's on it in the next couple of hours...
ok guys,
I just signed up and put 4 dual core pc's on it running split time with another project.
Woo Hoo!!!
:wav:
What is up with this projects pending credit??? I have over 1000 points pending... Geez... Is there a quorum or something??
Ugh... There is a quorum of 2... I hate that... That is why I stopped running Sztaki, they had a quorum of 3... It took over a month for me to get all of my credit.
Got one of my son's +4800 cores working on Proteins again. (We each have one core working on D2OL and one core on Proteins)
2,242 pending now... :(
Still working on this one till i hit 10,000 credits and then i'm on to another project to do the same.
You can always try for 10,000 in Pi Segment. lol
Has anyone else noticed that Proteins@home has been down a lot?
mainly today and yesterday, there will be like an hour where I can't report a project, or get new work ... and the homepage times out too.
here are some errors that I am getting .... :

It is very frustrating! :BangHead:
I've just put 3 systems (6 cores) on Proteins. We, the team, are about to lose 4th place to one guy named "Woody Woodpecker" (Team Wristshakers) - how embarrasing. He is the #1 in the world producer for Proteins with a RAC of 6200, so I suppose that is some consolation. Apparently he works for the Finnish government and is a cartoons and blues lover and possibly plays in a band (hence the "Wristshaker" monikker). I was thinking of inviting him to our team, but he seems to be settled with his team name. Here are his web sites: http://www.myspace.com/velipekka and http://www.wristshakers.com/
It will take a day or so for one of the systems to kick in as there are about 16 - 20 hours worth of PI-Segment work left on it.
From your request I put one of my systems on this project due to Tanpaku server being down!
Thank you for the help Nflight.
I moved a couple of cores over this morning.
Thanks Skuzz. Unless the Team wants to stick to Proteins for the long term we won't keep ahead of the Wristshakers team. This guy simply has too much capacity, so we will be losing 4th place.
I see two options:
1) If we just stick a few units on Proteins for the long term we can eventually catch Boinc Synergy and get our placement back by passing them up.
2) We, the team, could really hit Proteins hard for a few weeks and pass them up quickly then leave a few units on to maintain our placement. I don't see this happening very soon due to needing to recover from the PI Segment effort in so many projects.
I have two units (4 cores) that I plan to leave on Proteins for the long term in any instance.
