as the topic say... not much left on the main goals of the project. end date fluctuates between Nov 1 and Nov 25...
we may be able to push from 21st to 17th, maybe 16th...

So close to ending... Did they decrypt the 3rd message?

awgly100 says (at the moment)
Projected completion time 28.10.2009
(last night it was dec 10)
I'm pushing on it. Not only the Team rises ranks, as well as I do too within the Team. :icon_mrgreen:
go go go, everyone! ;)
Guess what... I'm user of the day at Enigma today! :)
congrats...... that's one honor I'll never have as I don't setup my profile at any projects.
dare i ask how many machines you have, Liuqyn?? you're kicking my butt! >_< and if it IS 18-19, how much is your power bill??
I try not to think about that. and it would be more but 5 of them are sharing time on cosmology@home and I didn't have the heart to abort their wu's, but did set no new tasks.
as far as number of hosts go, they're not hidden....:icon_twisted:
as a side note, I forgot how crappy credit was on this project so I can't wait for it to be over so I can resume my other endeavors.
my dumb ass was in Windows a lot lately (x264, some other reason, too, i can't remember) ... went back to linux .. got at least a 12% performance increase
I changed one PC to enigma@home with optimised app. The other reboots nearly two times a day cause I need some stupid windoze to play
no more OCing for me... i'm just undervolting, as of late. current extreme undervolt is to tide me over til i'm less in debt and a better selection of HSFs are out for the socket type.
2 more weeks worth of WUs only. Let's get the most we can. :)Quote:

it was up to dec for the last couple of days... either way, enough time to tear up some other teams! The Scots have fallen and so have some so-called "Wristshakers" ... next up, The Czech National Team! ;D
The estimated finish date of the project has varied one or two days lately but it's fixed at November 9th.
We got 1 week's worth of WU's only guys. If anyone wants to do one last push at this, or just increase their credits count or rank (I got up to the Team top 20 already :icon_mrgreen:) now is the time! :)
Ah why not. I'll join in for the final run. :icon_mrgreen:
EDIT: Enigma is refusing to give me work. It just says no work sent. :(
everyone push as hard as you can! at current rate, we can probably do lucky 13th place. with a hard push, maybe 11th. and a "drop everything and everyone crunch" push, 10th...
edit: sadly, i dropped some points yesterday, due to some lock up. after disabling gigabyte's vdroop option, voltage dropped. whereas i couldn't even boot at 0.999 WITH it on, i crunched for at least 24-48 hours at 0.991 volts (according to cpu-z)...
gamer007: weird, i'm pulling work in ubuntu and windows
edit2: i've had to wait for 1-2 server queries after it pulled the binaries for the project
It looks like its working now. No clue why it wasn't giving me work then, but I'm getting some now.
i think the e@h server is a bit (more) finicky (than others) ... if you tell boinc to update outside its own schedule, the server moans about you trying to connect too often/soon
Let's get them all! :icon_twisted:Quote:
workunits remaining: 40960
Guess it's finished for now, but there will be more soon :)

The server is out of work, for two reasons: the M4 server is out of work, because the awgly keyspace is finished. Also, I was going to run one of the other known unbroken messages while waiting for Stefan Krah to update the M4 server, but unfortunately during the last few hours one of the BOINC server's hard drives failed.
Luckily nothing seems to be damaged except one table which contains unimportant log data, but until I'll fully diagnose and fix the problem, I'm taking all the daemons offline.
It's also possible that later today I'll shutdown the server to replace the drive.
I thought I would stop in and noticed the Project is still going full bore. That stoppage was temporary I suppose. Well here I am once again re-starting an old post from EoN's again. So I decided to re-energize my position as it seems I am now in 59th gawd awful place. Lets see If I can rummage up some new cruncher activity on this old forgotten project! :blob3: Too Bad Liuqyn won't be responding anymore, that was a shame he just left us and never returned... :(
:icon_confused:EoN is not Enigma@Home
You're 59th in the team with Einstein@Home:icon_twisted:
Enigma-wise you can be found on 53rd place within the team.:icon_wink:
Yeah I often wondered what happened to Liuqin.
I tried to get some Enigma tasks today but it wouldn't send any, then I got the message about you tried to soon blah blah.
I have decided since this project is on point in supplying Work units and they provide good returns in points, to push to 25M on this project. With additional help we may push our standings even higher than they are now!
You've bought yourself a nice GPU it seems, as this project is now heavily centered on CUDA and OpenCL.
My poor Raspberries, which I used for Enigma for so long, are now doing WEP-M+2...
No sooner do I speak highly of the project than it pukes on me, seems the upload and download servers are not working. Though I do have 3 days work remaining on my system till they come back online!
Enigma has gotten some serious horsepower with NeoGen and myself screaming full out at the moment. Sure I am behind because I wanted to finish my previous projects goals when you passed me full tilt. So why not take this project all the way to 100 Million each, are you with me NeoGen? :blob3:
I installed a new Graphics driver and I am out of the race at this time, seems all WU's end in computational error. :sad5:
I had to drop back a few versions of Nvidia driver otherwise I got immediate "Computation error".
I just kept on downloading and installing the older drivers until I got one that worked with each machine. They were all Win 7 64.
At the moment I have removed all versions till I got at least Moo Wrapper to work at this time. All other GPU WU's fail. Eventually the others will adjust to the new Drivers and I will once again be able to join the foray. As for falling back to different versions I could not find previous drivers as all are removed when installing new ones. I AM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER... :sad5:
do they have GPU units? and if so, better with AMD or Nvidia?
They have GPU units! And they're better with AMD
are they done? (on the GPU side) ...been sitting for 8 hours with no work on both an Nvidia and AMD
I think not, I got plenty of GPU workunits for Enigma.... oops, I might have accidentally hogged them all :icon_lol: :icon_mrgreen:
But no, I think the site is just slow, you might have to keep trying, even manually refreshing if needed, and make sure you have a large buffer when you finally get them. Even just visiting the site half the times I get a 503 Service Unavailable error on the browser.
According to their Server Status page (which only loaded after 3 tries) they have millions of available WUs for GPU.
Plus also check BOINCs event log, BOINC may sometimes not download if it feels that it's buffer is already full or it's "not the highest priority project".
