I would go for the extra cache offered by an X3D style CPU
Primes are being elusive for me recently, none to add for a few days.
Yes Dirk, it is working now. Rytis worked it out for me, I had initially set the venue to "home" and I had thought that Odroid was set for "neptune". When I logged into my computers under my account...
PrimeGrid is supposed to have Linux ARM64 applications for GFN16 and GFN17 but I cannot get them to get work on my Odroid.
Only works for Asteroids and SiDock (and the NCI WuProp).
I received this message from Tim at UK BOINC Team:
Hi
The Formula BOINC 2024 Season is starting soon.
As your team is already registered to take part, please ask your team members to visit...
I had to back off to just the 3 dedicated Xeons with 36 cores each as it was getting too expensive. Also, the chase to a special badge is impossible.
Best chances for a prime are PPSE and GFN16, approximately 1 in 16,000 task chance. When you have the P2024 badge move on to PPS for CPUs and higher GFN for GPUs.
I'm running it hard, all my home PCs plus $8/hr of machines hired from The Science Cloud.
12 CPU cores (AVX-512) 20
Dedicated 36 core 3
NVIDIA L4 GPU + 4 CPU cores 6
1 CPU cores (basic...
I am unable to reach the WEP-M+2 website at http://bearnol.is-a-geek.com/wanless2/
Also observe that bok's stats at Free-DC haven't updated for a week.
Where for art thou Bearnol-is-a-geek?
We managed 5th position as a team, good job all.
So Universe is the best for credits with SBCs?
My targets are 200M in SGS and 6B in PPS-Sieve. Then I can get back to SOB with my six 5800X3D machines specially built for SOB tasks which require vast amounts of L2/L3 cache.
They work for me.
They have lots of downtime.
I find some of the YoYo tasks have estimated runtimes of 5 days.
Yikes that is a lot of EPYCs. I'm full bore running the PrimeGrid challenge this week. Maybe afterwards I can divert GHz to WEP-M+2.
I wish the folk at WCG would sort themselves out.
Stupid WCG admins have it set so any newly added hardware is not recognised in your own personal devices list so you don;t earn any points. Fools.
I have submitted a request to the Tech Support crew...
This update to the application allows older or less powerful computers to run GFN-15 tasks. Come and join the fun.
Dirk I have been watching your progress in WEP-M+2. You are out producing me each day whilst I have been concentrating on SiDock.
I haven't looked at them for a long time but I think they are all from Hard Kernel Odriod-N2s and XU4s. Lost count of them but >16. Some are in their own rack cabinets. My son and I searched for a...
Hardkernel seem to be slow in releasing fast / more powerful Odriods.
Yes it is danny but Formula BOINC's admin was silly.
We now have 5 members participating in this. We can do better.
Thank you for joining Euphoriabuzz.
Now we are 9th.
