I hope they just stay on now :) I got a few of those beta workunits and they ran pretty well.
It has been running pretty nicely indeed, but I'm shutting it down tonight. I'm going away for a long weekend so my crunchers will be off for several days.
Although I love the continually...
I think those are great ideas :)
And being an ARM-less person myself currently, I've had the thought for a long time that I would like to just pick up one of those little boards one day and see if...
Nice... bring in those GPU workunits already! :)
I hit 100K on hit, I think I'm good for now here :)
Oddly, I had my country set wrong. Just corrected it. Not sure how did that but I must have been in a hurry when I created the account.
I'm firing up my cruncher even in between challenges to test out Minecraft@home... let's see how it does :)
It was a great run, I just wish I could help more. When I grow up I wanna have hundreds of cores too to throw at projects :icon_lol:
These cyber attacks are a booming business these days and no one is safe... :(
I can't get any either from NFS, and my pending queue on Einstein is >300 :(
This may not have been the best choice of projects for a large scale competition...
Tell me about it... I wanted to upgrade my workstation this year, and we got hit with a global chip shortage that's driving prices crazy and components stock to zero. :icon_neutral:
How's the ARM...
I'm going to throw some cores at Sidock, although it's CPU only so I can't help much. But I do need to boost my credits there, so this might help.
Nice! I love Noctua, they have really good craftsmanship in all of their fans, heatsinks, etc.
Cool, let's see what projects they choose this year
I think I got one every now and then, but with Primegrid and other projects simultaneously the competition for the GPUs is fierce. :)
I found that AMD cards are no good for this subproject, the fastest I could get was 30mins per WU, but most took 1 hour crunching on the RX580s.
Oh well, it was a good run. I switched over the...
Started a few hours late, but I'm in it now.
Seems like Vaughan and MiHost are doing a lot of damage there :)
I would think "devil be gone from my machine!" *sprays it with holy water* :icon_mrgreen: :icon_lol:
I don't know if it helps or makes it worse for distributed computing, but I've been keeping the drivers up-to-date on my workhorse machine with multiple GPUs. I figure there's always a small chance...
Ok... in a few more days after I pass 100M and Nflight I'll give the poor machine a rest. The temperatures this week dropped quite a bit here so it'll be good to have it running at full steam for a...
If Quantum computing is as powerful as they make it sound then future generations will have to find a new hobby because Distributed Computing will be a thing of the past at that point. A few good...
I think I've figured out the issue, it's literally at its power limit. I plugged the machine to a power monitor and it registered over 1200W at peak moments when all GPUs are processing Moowrap and...
The end of the Fermat Divisor Search... Hope new sub projects come up to replace it!
Yes, there was one. But it usually just reboots and gets back to crunching, I have BOINC set to autostart. I remembered also maybe it was the graphics driver update I applied not too long ago that...
The upstairs was cool this evening, come to find out why and the machine was powered off. Lost probably half a day of production :(
Need to monitor it more closely, I don't know if it suffered a...
Congrats KarmannGaz! That may not be on the top 5000 list but it's a pretty chunky sized prime at 388,342 digits! :)
