I have had similar experiences today, WUs are downloading with an estimated time of 14 hours, but finish in about half of that. Not quite as drastic as 4 hours down to minutes.
Looks like they announced the the marathon project. NumberFields@Home.
Never crunched for them before. Interested to learn about the project and provide some CPU time!

My four choices.

Thanks for keeping up with the information Vaughan. I look forward to another pentathlon!
I had stumbled upon a site that was selling a 4U Server chassis with 8 GPUs crammed into it, but cannot find it anymore. Price was about US 3k for a completed box including the Rx 470s they were...
Thanks Vaughan for the email. I saw this was coming up, and had forgotten to get things lined up ready to go for the memorial challenge! While I never knew RamJet i am happy to crunch in his honor...
Thanks for the temperature advice. I have been watching it closely, and it was no higher with both cards trying to run. It was like my new AMD card did not even get warm because it was not actually...
Well, after letting it run for some time it seems to randomly freeze the computer up and I can only do a hard reboot. Nothing seems to be in the syslog right before the freeze. Looking at others on...

We seem to be making up some ground on the City Run and should be able to catch the next two spots before that event ends. I tried to get a head start on the Einstein project, but this ended up...
Anyone know where to assign a team in Einstein@Home? The rest of the projects are really easy to figure out, but Einstein seems to be a little less user friendly and intuitive. I have a profile set...
Great information thank you. I am browsing but not yet getting read to pull the trigger yet. I like the price point below $100 for sure. So I am shop around for the GT730 model that you mentioned...
Thanks for the pointers. I have been playing with BOINC Manager the past couple of nights and can see that it does not hesitate if you wanted to prioritize a particular project by suspending others....
Aside from filling up my closet with 20 new servers before the start of this I assume we are hoping to improve marginally over our rank last year so I am not too worried about my novices holding up...
I second the Smash childhood cancer. As for the others no real preference, but I like LHC@Home and DENIS@Home. I cannot really provide much comparison between the projects so I am open to branching...
Hello all,
Thanks to Nflight for the message and pointing me to the forums. I have been a long time user of Boinc, back to the SETI at home days whatever it was called back then. Memories of...
